RETAIL FINANCE MANAGER | HIGH WYCOMBE
We’re looking for an incredible Retail Finance Manager to join our Finance team and play a key role in our Finance transformation strategy and lead projects such as process improvement.
You’ll report directly to the Head of Financial Control and Reporting and will be managing and developing a team to ensure high standards of cost accounting, reporting and forecasting, interpreting results and trends to deliver insight to the business to assist in decision making and effective cost management.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
· Assume leadership of a dedicated team overseeing the accounting, reporting and reconciliation of critical business costs. You’ll promote a strong cost control culture and enhance the visibility and analysis of key costs to facilitate more efficient management.
· Take responsibility for providing the monthly flash forecast and delivering the annual budget and quarterly forecast, including reviewing and challenging relevant budget holders. As well as taking ownership of IFRS16 compliance, maintaining robust accounting and budgetary controls, and serving as the primary contact for Group Finance regarding the lease accounting.
· Drive a strong business partnering ethos in the team taking ownership for conducting monthly meetings with head of departments to discuss results, risks and opportunities.
· Take the lead in driving a more efficient and data-driven department. This involves implementing streamlined processes, leveraging automation for routine tasks, and fostering a culture that values data-driven decision-making.
· Provide day to day support, training, coaching and supporting the 3 Retail & Central Analysts. You’ll take ownership for conducting regular one-to-one meetings and appraisals in a timely manner, setting clear and achievable objectives, and ensuring development plans are established.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
· ACCA/CIMA qualified or qualified by experience, ideally Retail or FMCG background.
· You are looking for your next step in your Finance Manager career, you thrive in driving meaningful change in a hands-on role, where understanding the detail is essential for delivering results and change.
· Previous experience of working in a similar role, delivering efficiencies and cost control.
· Demonstratable experience of managing and developing a team of part qualified studiers.
· Experience of one or more top ERP system.
