As the Head of Fleet and Engineering, you will be part of the Senior Management Team accountable for the day-to-day operation and forward planning of the Fleet and Engineering Department. Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designed products are fit for purpose, meet relevant Aerospace Standards/Approvals and can be manufactured within designated Manufacturing parameters
• Ensure Engineering activities are delivered in line with company procedures and assist in the development of improved processes to facilitate the success of future projects.
• Alongside the Engineering Manager, provide technical advice and guidance to both design and manufacturing teams with regards to technical compliance and product safety
• Review and approve technical documentation, including design reports, drawings, flight test plans, and other product / project technical documentation
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement with the ability to implement best practice and process improvement
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality and/or performance
• Participate in regular cross-functional meetings to address challenges and drive improvements and innovation
• Work closely with Quality and Senior Management to ensure relevant Design Certifications and Approvals are maintained including the implementation of Technical Changes and Revisions as required / appropriate

Key Experience Requirements:

• Ideally educated to Degree level in a technical discipline (Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar), with a strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic disciplines and "how things work"
• Previous Experience working within Aerospace Design & Manufacturing environments
• The ability to work across a multi-disciplinary team, including Design, Quality and Manufacturing
• In-depth understanding of aerospace industry standards, regulations and best practices, including TSO and DO-160
• Demonstrable ability to implement process improvements and drive best practice
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to "think outside of the box"

Engineering Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with technical skills to support our engineering team to install new conveyor systems within our organisation for a 6 to 9 month fix term contract

Location you will be supporting the Manchester regain which covers some travel to the following locations Warrington, Sheffield, Chester, Preston and Manchester

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Project planning

Field verification of drawings and identifying interference's with existing/new equipment

Raise updates for different project phases, and address concerns, if any, from different groups, prior to start of works onsite.

Project execution

Set-up and manage daily calls with vendors, Provide daily report summary.

Site visits to verify project progress and gather stakeholder/customer feedback. Frequency of site visits to be agreed, address any concerns during these site visits. Escalate any concerns if needed.

Manage any ordered materials (signage, racking, SBL) to be received onsite, inventory and identify any gaps. Coordinate with Ops/RME to transport materials for the material movement and installation.

Coordinate with IT, obtain IDF keys and monitor IDF cabinets during data cable terminations. Validate cable installation and functionality with IT.

Supporting site acceptance tests (4-5d continuous onsite presence)

Project closure

Obtain all documentation from vendor and validate list against vendor deliverables. Validate basic document content (for ex. Declaration of conformity signed, correct DS name, etc.)

Transfer all documentation to appropriate storage location

Qualifications Experience

Working experience in Industrial, Mechanical, Process Engineering or equivalent

Working experience as Project Manager of medium complex projects

Proficiency in tools: AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel

The Maintenance Delivery Manager is a role within NNL, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure and compliance, they are responsible for the safe, effective and efficient delivery of all planned and preventative maintenance activities along with breakdown resolution of facility infrastructure and assets, and support to new projects through installation and commissioning activities. Delivery of the maintenance function via in-house maintenance and craft teams, complimented with specialist contractor support.

Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities for Engineering Delivery Manager:

• Management and leadership of the craft, E&I teams, & building management function, developing the capability to meet current and future organisational requirements.
• Development of standardised processes to aid capacity management, planning and work scheduling.
• Collaboration with the asset management function to facilitate an effective and efficient maintenance programme and associated activities.
• Delivery of the maintenance programme as per the CMMS/EIMT programme (plant maintenance schedule).
• Ensuring the team is compliant with company procedures, standards and policies.
• Ensuring the maintenance tasks are appropriately controlled and the asset/infrastructure performs its safety function, meets the required level of reliability and that the activities are appropriately recorded.
• Responsible for production and control of the facility maintenance budget.
• Drive continual improvement at all levels within the maintenance function and seek wider industry best practices.
• Balance and communicate priorities across the wider team.
• Responsible for investigating maintenance incidents & events to identify the root cause and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Implement standards, performance goals, measures and analyse maintenance delivery trends to improve operational performance.
• Perform observations, inspections and self-assessment to ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with NNL and Site standards, ensuring that learning and issues are acted upon and shared at appropriate levels.

Ideal Candidate

Essential Criteria for Engineering Delivery Manager:

• Degree qualified or holds HND in an equivalent discipline.
• Experience of managing maintenance teams in a high hazard environment.
• Strong communications skills, ability to communicate key information with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years' worth of UK residency).

Desirable Criteria for Engineering Delivery Manager:

• Hold IOSH Managing Safely/NEBOSH safety qualification.
• Hold Lean/6 Sigma qualification.
• Experience of undertaking/managing teams that undertake maintenance in a nuclear environment.
• Experience of maintenance management approaches RCM, RBM, TPM etc.
