Due to expansion within their NA Team, there is an opportunity for an Account Handler /Technician to handle NA Open market Property risks. This is a home-based role with occasional working in the City 1 day per week

Your new role
Working as an Account Handler( Technician)
you will be responsible for producing documentation including Open market MRC slips and endorsements as well as some BAA slips + Endorsements. You will be responsible for preparing and typing of letters / emails and other correspondence, maintaining online filing and archiving systems, Entering Data onto the Global system as well as obtaining Bureau Signings and arranging extension to terms of trade. Other duties will include dealing with queries from Brokers and clients as well as calculating Profit Commissions & E2I's. You will be encouraged to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, supporting them with all technical issues and queries.

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Technician/ Broker Support Technician handling NA or International Non Marine or Property business who has experience in the production of MRC slips will contribute to your success. You will be technically astute, highly literate with excellent planning, time management and organisation skills alongside your drive and motivation will allow you to adapt well into a diverse and growing team

The firm's specialist team provides a comprehensive range of construction law solutions across the wide spectrum of projects undertaken in the construction industry. Clients include private and public institutions, property owners and investors, developers, funders, contractors, specialist sub-contractors, suppliers and construction/design consultants.

The team's lawyers advise client on the full range of standard from contracts and bespoke agreements. They vary from project specific EPC and EPCM contracts to multi-party and partnering working arrangements and encompass NEC and traditional JCT contracts. They also have extensive experience of advising on risks in live schemes, including preventing the failure of construction projects.

Much of their focus is in the UK but they also advise on a range of international projects across many jurisdictions and work with their network of trusted international law firms and consultants where appropriate.

The Firm are now looking for an Associate to join their Construction team in London. The ideal candidate will be 2-4 years qualified and have previous experience of working within a construction team or housing practice.

The candidate will mainly have experience of non-contentious construction law, standard form construction contracts and some experience of commercial and/or housing development work.

A good working knowledge of the various standard form contracts and appointments, including JCT, NEC and EPC forms, their standard amendments and market norms is ideal, as is a willingness to take on more bespoke, complex agreements, large scale due diligence exercises and/or typical development arrangements with appropriate supervision.
