My client is a small multidisciplinary surveying firm with 26 experienced and friendly staff. They are forward-thinking, young and dynamic... this is a company where you'll be able to mould a career and truly flourish. They have various survey services and are now looking to add BNG assessments to that list. You'll be carving your niche in the business by starting this workstream, they have extensive requests for BNG assessments, so you wouldn't be starting from scratch or doing any cold business development.

Your new role

You'll be working with a range of architects, planners, developers and construction companies. The role is based in NW Leicestershire with hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage planning projects with a specific focus on achieving Biodiversity Net Gain.
* Provide expert advice on biodiversity conservation and enhancement strategies to clients.
* Conduct BNG assessments and ecological surveys to identify biodiversity and habitat types on sites and their BNG potential (both offsetting sites and development sites) .
* Develop and implement Biodiversity Net Gain strategies in alignment with relevant legislation, metrics, and best practices
* Build and maintain relationships with Local Planning Authorities, conservation organisations, Wildlife Trusts, and other stakeholders.
* Collaborate with surveyors to integrate biodiversity considerations into projects.
* Prepare technical reports for planning submission, condition discharge and Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans.
* Stay updated on emerging trends in biodiversity conservation and planning policy.
* Conduct site-based surveys and monitoring across the Midlands and occasionally further afield.

What you'll need to succeed
* Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, Ecology, Planning, or a related subject. MSc desirable
* FISC 3 qualification or higher
* Some membership with CIEEM
* Experience in a consultancy environment working on ecology/BNG projects.
* Strong understanding of biodiversity legislation, including national and local policies.
* Proven experience in managing projects focused on Biodiversity Net Gain and working with tools like the Statutory Metric.
* Familiarity with ecological principles, habitat assessments, and species surveys.
* Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to various audiences.
* Experience in engaging with government bodies and local authorities.
* Proficiency in planning software such as GIS and ecological modelling tools, alongside Microsoft Office Suite.
* Full UK Driving licence and willingness to travel for site work.

To dispense prescriptions in accordance with professional and ethical standards laid down by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) ensuring that Departmental standards of quality, accuracy and timeliness are met. To dispense clinical trial medication and extemporaneous products in accordance with professional standards and good dispensing practices set out by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) including cytotoxic agents meeting all Health and Safety, COSHH and departmental standards. To dispense Controlled Drugs to ensure that the requirements of the Misuse of Drugs Act (1971), General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards, and ensuring departmental Standard Operating Procedures are met. To provide specialist high-risk Obstetric anaesthesia outpatient clinic work: To participate in the Obstetric Consultant Anaesthetist non-resident on-call rota as well as evening and weekend resident rota. To support the Anaesthetic department in delivering high quality elective and emergency theatre sessions and provide flexibility to support the service. To work flexibly to support the workload and cover for colleagues' annual leave and other authorised absences. To work as part of the Pharmacy Team in providing an efficient, effective, and safe pharmaceutical service to patients and customers at ward level, managing ward and patient drug stocks ensuring adequate stock is available on the designated ward by topping up stock, processing extra requests and maintaining stock levels and to dispense (within the main and satellite pharmacies) prescriptions. To develop shared guidelines / care agreements for medicines within the area of speciality to reduce risks associated with transition between secondary and primary care. 13. To provide highly specialised medication related advice. This will include individualised advice on medication dosing, drug choice, administration, drug level monitoring and dose adjustment, the use of unlicensed medicines, the use of medicines outside the terms of their product licence and advice on the safety and storage of medications. 14. To support medicines optimisation within the area of Speciality, to include review of medicines-related errors and formulation of strategies to reduce these errors throughout the Trust, developing strategies to promote safe medicines use and supporting patient education. 15. To work with the wider Health Community and multidisciplinary team to develop and improve medicines-related aspects of patient care pathways to reduce admission and readmission to hospital in area of speciality 16. Collate data and produce reports on drug use within the specialty and prescribing audits as required by the service 17. Assist in the production of Patient Group Directions (PGDs), with appropriate medical/nursing staff. Ensure PGDs are regularly reviewed, and provide PGD training for CMGs as required. 18. Actively pursue audit, research and development within the area of speciality and the Pharmacy Department. Publicise the results of such work through presentations and publications. 19. It is an exciting time to join our welcoming and friendly team of 16 Obstetric Anaesthetic Consultants based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. This is a level 3 hospital which sees nearly 6000 deliveries per year. We are engaged in patient focussed elective and emergency obstetric care, pre-operative and high risk assessment clinics. We are the regional referral centre for maternal medicine, abnormally invasive placenta and neonatal care.

The overriding purpose is to support the provision of highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.

· Responsibility for the provision of a safe and efficient Obstetric anaesthetic service for elective theatres and delivery suite emergency care at UHL including preoperative assessment and perioperative care.
• To provide specialist high-risk Obstetric anaesthesia outpatient clinic work:

· To participate in the Obstetric Consultant Anaesthetist non-resident on-call rota as well as evening and weekend resident rota.

· To support the Anaesthetic department in delivering high quality elective and emergency theatre sessions and provide flexibility to support theservice.

· To work flexibly to support the workload and cover for colleagues' annual leave and other authorised absences. Flexibility within the role will be required as we reconfigure, working towards a single-site UHL maternity service.
• To participate in service development and business planning in collaboration with the other Consultants in the department, the CMG and local GPs and commissioners within the local CCGs;
• Professional supervision and management of junior medical staff including the observance of local employment and human resource policies and procedures;
• Participating in medical audit, the Trust’s Clinical Governance processes and in CPD – CPD is provided in job plans and attendance at audit and other governance meetings is mandatory; Managerial, including budgetary responsibilities where appropriate and compliance with standing orders and standing financial instructions of the Trust.;
• In line with GMC Good Medical Practice it is the responsibility of the post-holder to ensure that all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard, and in accordance with current quality initiatives within the area of work.
• The post-holder is expected to participate in teaching and training of junior staff and other clinical staff groups. The appointee will also have supervision responsibilities for junior medical staff within the specialty. If appropriate the post-holder will be named in the contract of junior staff as the person responsible for overseeing their training and as an initial source of advice to such doctors regarding their careers.
• The post-holder is expected to participate in professional continuing medical education; study leave is provided for this purpose.
• The post-holder will be expected to undertake the Trust Corporate and Directorate specific Induction and competency Programmes appropriate to role.
• The post-holder will be required to maintain their continuing professional development (CPD) to be able to successfully revalidate. As per the Trust requirement the successful candidate will be required to have annual appraisal and attend / keep fully up to date with statutory and mandatory training as stipulated.

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual to join the head and neck cancer nurse specialist team at University Hospitals of Leicester. The CNS team are friendly, supportive and have a strong team working approach.



As a Head and Neck Cancer CNS you will work as part of the nursing and Multi-disciplinary team ensuring that patients with head and neck cancer receive the highest standard of care and support from the time of diagnosis and throughout the cancer pathway.



We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills and can work both autonomously and as part of a team. Relevant post registration experience is essential and knowledge of head and neck nursing would be beneficial but not essential as a full training and supervision package will be tailored to meet your needs.

The purpose of the post is to manage and provide expert specialist clinical practice for both outpatients and inpatients (NHS and private patients (delete as appropriate). The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) acts as a keyworker for the patient. The CNS will lead in the use of evidence-based clinical practice in line with current research, guidelines and other available evidence. They will ensure that patients and their families are fully informed about their journey through the service. The CNS will liaise with other members of the multi-disciplinary team when required to ensure delivery of reliable high quality care.

As integral member of the MDT you will be involved in developing nursing practice- strengthening and developing links across cancer networks. The head and neck MDT also have a strong research network and are involved in many research projects to improve patient care and treatment you will be expected to support this as part of your role.

Work autonomously, providing an effective nurse-led service as needs dictate.

Our team of Medicines Management Assistants (MMAs) work closely with our Technicians and Pharmacists to provide patient focused care to inpatients and outpatients. Our MMAs work in a number of areas depending on service need, including the Emergency Department (ED), Medical admissions, Surgery, Cardio Respiratory and specialist wards such as Intensive care

This role will involve providing high quality medicines management by ensuring accurate and timely stock management and replenishment is undertaken and dispensing of urgent items.

The successful candidate will be required to take part in the weekend working, bank holiday working, and evening rotas and will be expected to be flexible to support the requirements of the team.

You will be required to Possess QCF/NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent, have good oral and written communication skills and possess good IT/keyboard skills.

• To work as part of the Pharmacy Team in providing an efficient, effective, and safe pharmaceutical service to patients and customers at ward level, managing ward and patient drug stocks ensuring adequate stock is available on the designated ward by topping up stock, processing extra requests and maintaining stock levels and to dispense (within the main and satellite pharmacies) prescriptions.
• In addition to ward activity you will contribute to the main dispensary service, dispensing medicines for In patients and discharge including cytotoxic medicines and controlled drugs all in an accurate and timely manner.
• To co-ordinate and process all stock requests for designated ward areas to ensure stock levels are maintained and excess stock is kept to a minimum.
• To identify and pursue personal training needs with the object of improving personal development and performance, and to collaborate in the training of other pharmacy staff as appropriate.
