Leisure Assistants are required to assist in carrying out the operational procedures of the KGS Sports Facilities.

You should have experience in dealing with the public and be able to demonstrate good customer care skills. An awareness of Health and Safety requirements is essential.

You will be required to use the Leisure Management software to check-in customers when they arrive and set up equipment ready for bookings. Successful candidates will be expected to have a flexible approach to working hours.

You should have a good general standard of education including literacy and numeracy and an HSE First Aid qualification would be an advantage. Other qualities include an ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

The Vascular Unit has a strong commitment to teaching, research and audit and its work is known both nationally and internationally. On Call - The Clinical Fellow will take part in a resident on call rota which is compliant with European Working Time Directive, with the other SHO level posts in Vascular Surgery, Upper and Lower GI Surgery and Trauma and Orthopaedics.However, all posts within the Trust are constantly under review with the aim of introducing more compliant working patterns, your co- operation and participation in this process will be key. Administrative responsibilities- These will be at a Unit level and include the dictation of discharge letters, electronic ordering of investigation etc. and the generation of data for the audit programme and the presentation of patients at the weekly meeting. It is the responsibility of the post holder to ensure that communication within the vascular service is as effective as possible, keeping both the Consultants, SpRs and Senior Nursing Staff informed of the clinical management of all patients admitted. Detailed protocols for clinical management are available within the department and the Trust Intranet which the post holder is expected to adhere at all times. Clinics- There are out-patient clinics on all three sites throughout the week. There are additional OPD clinics at West Middlesex Hospital and at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. All of the in-patient activity takes place at St. Marys Hospital. There are day case procedures at Charing Cross and at St. Marys Hospital. SHOs will take part in daycase and inpatient theatre lists, clinics and Multidisciplinary Team Meetings

The Surgery, Cancer and Cardiovascular Sciences (SCC) division is one of three divisions within Imperial College Healthcare Trust. The Vascular Surgery directorate is based at St Mary’s Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital. We also support satellite services at both West Middlesex hospital and Chelsea and Westminster hospital.

We receive around 7,000 new general vascular referrals annually, including both GP and tertiary referrals. Our Vascular Surgery team currently perform over 1,500 daycase surgeries per year and 500+ inpatient operations as part of our elective care pathway. The team also perform more than 600 non-elective procedures on an annual basis.

There are 10 consultant surgeons, 5 specialist registrars, 2 clinical lecturers, 4 Research SpRs, 9 FY2/CT/Trust grades, 3 FY1s, and 4 AVNPs within the unit. The post holder will be well supported by this large clinical team.

A 12 month fixed term opportunity has arisen for a Junior Clinical Fellow within the directorate to undertake various clinical duties as well as academic responsibilities. They will work with the clinical, admin and management teams along with support services to meet the clinical, surgical and research demands on the vascular surgery service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust with a strong emphasis on education.

The Women’s Health Research Centre (WHRC) at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust / Imperial College London is at the forefront of research aimed at improving outcomes and experiences in women's reproductive health and childbirth.

At the current time, WHRC is looking to appoint a Clinical Research Assistant Practitioner to work on the Generation Study which is sponsored by Genomics England. The study focuses on screening neonates for approximately 200 rare conditions at birth using umbilical cord blood. The postholder will assist with sample collection, data management and registration of participants whilst adhering to the principles of GCP. The role will also involve ordering consumables and supporting the research team with participant recruitment.

The postholder of this new role will work within the WHRC research team and be able to develop specialist research skills with new opportunities in a vibrant and dynamic environment. There may be opportunities to work on a variety of other projects within the areas of gynaecology and maternity and the ideal candidate will have interest in the improvement of women’s health, an enthusiasm to learn, attention to detail and a willingness to work collaboratively.

The post holder will be primarily based at Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital but may also be required to work at St Mary’s Hosptial.
• The post holder will support the co-ordination and management of clinical research projects, collaborating with key personnel throughout the trust and network to ensure continued care and support for patients involved in clinical trials.
• The main focus of the role will be in supporting the delivery and development of the research portfolio through identification of suitable participants, co-ordination, recruitment, performance and maintenance of study documentation.
