Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and reliable Carpenters (ANZSCO 331212) to join our team in Darwin. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while contributing to our reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities
• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and other materials.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to meet project requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials with precision and attention to detail.
• Install framework, flooring, roofing, and trim with a strong focus on quality and safety.
• Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and materials for optimal functionality and safety.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and other tradespeople.
• Adhere to safety protocols, building codes, and company policies.
Essential Requirements
• At least 2 years of proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably in residential or commercial projects.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in outdoor conditions.
• A valid driver's license.
Desirable Attributes
• Relevant qualifications in Carpentry or Construction (Certificate III or higher).
• Experience working in Australia or familiarity with Australian building standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Darwin and contribute to the local community.
