DUTY 1
In a Career Broadener capacity, actively manages programs, policies, operations, activities, and investments addressing nuclear, NC3, and global strike infrastructure modernization and recapitalization, sustainment, human capital, and tactical-through-strategic execution. Assists in resolving critical problems, improving program efficiency, recommending thoroughly researched solutions, and assisting with risk assessment and decision-making for senior management officials.

DUTY 2
As a Career Broadener, recommends and leads a broad range of qualitative and quantitative investigation, analyses, and organizational assessments, strategies, and policies addressing nuclear, NC3, and global strike infrastructure modernization and recapitalization, sustainment, human capital, and tactical-through­-strategic execution.

DUTY 3
As a Career Broadener, represents HAF/AlO and HQ USAF to a variety of multi-organization and multi-department functional area organizations.

DUTY 4
In a Career Broadening capacity, prepares and presents effective and comprehensive high-level briefings of conclusions, many being subjective and not readily susceptible to verification until actual operational conditions are encountered.

• Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
• Serves as the Fire Protection Engineer/Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) reporting to the Chief of Protective Services.
• Documents and implements a Center Fire Protection and Life Safety Program designed to protect human life and property from the risk of fire-related hazards.
• Interprets, adapts, and applies numerous codes, regulations, guidelines, precedents and engineering principles and practices to determine most feasible design or possible alternative solutions.
• Approves the work of civil servants, contractors and commercial partner engineers, fire department and other specialists in the planning, directing, and coordinating activities for the Fire Protection Program.
• Examines the nature and characteristics of fire phenomena and how fires originate, spread, and are detected, controlled, and extinguished. Conducts investigations into post-fire incidents and predicting fire behavior to protect life and property.
• Reviews and approves building construction and fire protection features and ensures they are in place to minimize danger to life from the effects of fire.
• Provides and maintains fire protection and life safety systems and procedures in accordance with National Fire Protection Associate requirements, the International Building Code, and the Agency Standard for Fire Protection and Life Safety.
• Serves as Contracting Officer Representative (COR)/technical representative for assigned contracts.

• Provide policy input on intelligence program issues for the Refugee, Asylum, and International Operations (RAIO) Directorate, HQ RAIO FDNS Program Office and lead major intelligence projects.
• Produce immigration intelligence for major functional or geographical areas.
• Identify information related to national security concerns and fraud trends and patterns through complex analyses of data.
• Produce intelligence products that address Key Intelligence Questions that supports the USCIS mission in the administration of the lawful immigration process.
• Disseminate intelligence products that support the mission of the office and the agency.

• Serve as a Senior Analyst and expert in a specific area of assignment within the Office of Management and
  Budget (OMB).
• Perform career broadening assignments working with the OMB leaders in planning, program planning,
  budgeting and associated cost analysis for budget programs.
• Carries out special projects and assignments designed specifically to meet the broadening intent of the
  position.
• Develops and recommends strategies for improving the value and effectiveness of management systems, field
  administration, program operations, mid-range and strategic planning, and program evaluation.
