Serves as a key representative for the Director of the Natural Resources Environment's (NRE), Tribal and Native American Issue Area and acts on behalf of NRE and GAO by providing cultural awareness, strategic focus, and technical input for GAO's Tribal and Native American work.

Advises GAO leadership on sensitive and emerging issues related to Tribal and Native Americans, tribal leaders' concerns, and potential strategies to improve GAO's internal capacity for analyzing programs and policies that serve Tribes, their members, and Indigenous communities.

Acts as a NRE stakeholder for GAO engagement teams to ensure the methodological adequacy of planned outreach to Tribes and Indigenous communities, including appropriate and diverse case selection, and educate staff on appropriate communications strategies and cultural context in advance of tribal outreach.

Delivers agency-wide briefings, preparing written internal communications, delivering oral presentations, and providing written analyses on the Tribal and Native American Issue Area for internal senior executive audiences such as the GAO's Executive Committee and mission teams' management and staff.

Coordinates within GAO to develop and implement a variety of internal learning activities relevant to GAO's tribal work. This includes developing guidance and protocols for GAO's work with Tribal Nations and contributing to training courses and materials relevant to understanding tribal issues including federal/tribal/state relations.

Works with NRE and other mission teams on the preparation of the tribal components of GAO's strategic plan and related implementation efforts.

Builds external networks and relationships with Tribes, leaders of tribal and Indigenous organizations, and other public and private sector organizations that help facilitate accountability, outreach, and collaboration. This includes attending and participating in tribal conferences, meetings, and events, and responding to inquiries from tribal leaders related to GAO's work.

The major duties of the Safety and Occupational Health Manager position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide technical support to the safety programs of supported parks in areas such as noise, asbestos, carbon monoxide, welding fumes, silica dust, solvent vapors, oxygen-deficient atmosphere, toxic and explosive gases, flammable materials, blood borne pathogens, laboratory hazards, chemical hazards mechanized equipment hazards, confined space, and work processes.

1. Serve as subject matter expert on emergency operations issues and House Operations Center (HOC) capabilities and procedures.

policies, standards, and guidelines for the agency and its diverse aviation community of NAS users.

The Group Manager exercises managerial duties, which typically affect managers and employees for more than one organizational unit/project/program, and include: strategic planning; communicating the organization's vision and objectives; setting priorities; assigning tasks and responsibilities; monitoring and evaluating performance of organizational units, managers, and employees; coaching and developing staff and organizational capabilities; approving leave; and taking or approving corrective/disciplinary actions as appropriate. Uses detailed knowledge of budget policies and procedures to define, plan and organize staff, and other resources. Actively promotes,
supports, and participates in the FAA's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Diversity Programs.

Applies a detailed knowledge of the technical aspects of the work that is directed; a detailed knowledge of budget, human resource management, and other administrative policies and procedures. Manages budget, and either reallocates resources among Technical Operations or acquires additional resources as needed. Leads and integrates the budget planning processes for all organizational units/projects/programs under his/her control, and projects both short-term and long-term future needs. Participates in planning efforts that cross organizational lines within Technical Operations (AJW) and Air Traffic Organization (ATO).

Contacts are routinely internal and external to AJW. Internal contacts are with subordinates, peers, and higher level management to discuss the statuses and results of projects/programs and plan for the future. External contacts include representatives from other government agencies (e.g. DHS, DoD, FCC and NTIA) and civil aviation organizations and industries, both domestic and international (e.g. ITU, ICAO, and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)). Represents the AJW, ATO, and the FAA, as a primary point of contact on spectrum issues during collaborations with the White House and other agencies and partners, such as Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), International Civil Aviation Organizations (ICAO), and International Telecommunications Union (ITU).
