About the Role
We require a highly motivated individual to provide in-class support to students with a variety of needs, including support with difficulties/disabilities, literacy, numeracy and language. You will also provide emotional support and encourage participation in the learning environment. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support students studying a diverse range of subjects and may be required to work across the college’s different centres within the SCC group. You will work alongside classroom tutors to break down barriers and ensure that learners are able to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. You will have an understanding of the issues facing young people with barriers to their learning. You should have some previous experience in support and be able to demonstrate a good standard of English, Maths and IT.

Your opportunity
We are seeking to recruit a full time Learning Support Assistant that is motivated to work on a 1:1 basis supporting pupils (range of primary ages) with complex needs, such ASD and / or physical disabilities.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about pupil welfare and has the ability to make a difference to the learning journey of a child.
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will play an integral role in the behaviour, communication, social and emotional development of the children and actively assist our Teachers with supporting the children within the classroom. You will be proactive and confident to provide the support needs outside of the classroom every day.We are interested in hearing from all candidates, no matter what point in your career you are currently at, as training will be provided, and you will be supported by a team of experienced and dedicated professionals.
