Financial Institution Interns will be assigned to the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP).  Interns will work directly on teams with experienced FDIC employees to evaluate FIDC-insured institutions' compliance with fair lending and consumer protection laws and regulations.  These teams are responsible for assessing financial institutions to determine whether they are maintaining effective controls and procedures, managing their institutions effectively, and complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to consumer protection, privacy, community reinvestment, and fair lending.

Under the direction and supervision of an Examiner or a higher grade team member, the incumbent will participate in and/or independently perform the following:

Assesses the adequacy and determines the strength of the Compliance Management System (senior management oversight; compliance program, including the elements of policies, monitoring, and training; and audit procedures) to ensure ongoing compliance as related to the particular regulation under review.  Conducts reviews and assessments of the following: 

• Examine initial disclosures, periodic statements, advertisements, and other information to evaluate procedures and reviews for compliance with applicable regulations.
• Examine closed-end non-real estate credit transactions for compliance with applicable regulations.
• Review the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act loan application register for accuracy and assesses the bank's overall reporting procedures.
• Review adverse action notices for compliance, and to gain a cursory exposure to applicable lending-related regulations.
• Examine a sample of residential, consumer, commercial and/or agricultural files to determine compliance with consumer laws and regulations.

Reviews applicable regulations and examination manual to become informed about the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).

Participates in discussing the overall examination process including evaluating the bank's Compliance Management System (senior management oversight; compliance program, including the elements of policies, monitoring, and training; and audit procedures).  Asks questions to gain clarification and understanding of examination policies and procedures.

• Observes the interactions between the FDIC and Bank personnel.
• Responds to questions from other examiners regarding his/her section of the Report of Examination.
• Reviews the CRA of an institution and participates in discussion for assigning its rating.
• Prepares a summary of each performance factor describing why rating was assigned.
• With the assistance of an experience examiner, participates in meetings as appropriate.
• After the meeting, asks questions and discusses exam findings with the examiner-in-charge or higher graded team member.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), GS-7 grade level performs complex nursing care for Veterans and serves as a leader, mentor, and preceptor within both the main facility and in the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) setting as established by each VA Healthcare facility.

• The GS-7 LPN/LVN can serve as a responsible member of the Connected Care department and is responsible for goals and interventions that promote Veterans in attaining maximum functional potential.
• Demonstrates integration of concepts, cognitive skills, and technically competent practice in providing care to patients with basic orcomplex needs. S/he is an advanced LPN who demonstrates critical thinking skills basic/fundamental experience with situations in which they are ultimately expected to perform.
• The LPN GS-7 has full knowledge of Connected Care policies and procedures and a basic knowledge of human anatomy to prepare and care for patients in the designated clinical area.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works in the CBOC Locations (Newark, Grove City, Zanesville, Marion) as well as the main facility as assigned under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and reports to the Nurse Manager for Connected Care.
• The LPN is responsible for observing, recording, reporting, changes in the patient's condition, as well as providing input into revision of plan and care based upon data collected and identified patient/family needs.
• The LPN demonstrates active collaboration and communication with clinic staff, the patient's family/care giver, internal and community-based services and disciplines involved in providing care to patients.
• Completes teleretinal imaging and gathering appropriate data, to include actively recruiting for teleretinal imaging patients.
• Takes appropriate actions based upon communications, observations, Veteran care reports, provider/staff discussion. Reports changes to provider, demonstrates the knowledge and ability to effectively intervene and recommend and implement strategies that assure optimal, safe, and effective care.

Typical day as a Support Coordinator.

• You’ll work with a team of Support Coordinators to deliver a high quality service that meets or exceeds Home Group KPIs and OFSTED standards.


• Supporting customers with varied support needs including mental health issues, housing related support, complex needs and responding appropriately to challenging behaviour.


• You will create and update support plans and risk assessments with your customers. Helping them with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation.


• Ensuring our properties are well maintained, clean and homely. This not only ensures our customers have a nice place to live, but it also helps with keeping our voids to a minimum.

Job details

• The service is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will work on a 4 week, rolling rota, including weekends, and bank holidays. This rota does not require you to work night shifts.


• Where we’re flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.


• We acknowledge that flexibility is a two-way street, therefore, should you require more flexibility yourself to maintain a good work/life balance, we will endeavour to accommodate your requests.


• Morning and late shifts may include a period of time where you will be lone working.


• Basic knowledge/aptitude of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.


• Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.
