Our BCSSU delivers evidence-based and innovative interventions and services to individuals who, due to multiple or complex needs require specialist behaviour change treatment or holistic support. You’ll play a key role in the assessment and referral of domestic abuse, stalking and harassment perpetrators to our early intervention and behavioural change services. You’ll also ensure that victims and their families are provided with advocacy and support where required.

We’ll need your excellent interpersonal skills to engage and build relationships with external agencies (i.e. police, probation and courts), to ensure our services can be easily accessed by both perpetrators and victims. You’ll also communicate with other services that may be required to help our participants, such as substance misuse and mental health support.

Our successful candidate will ideally have experience working within the criminal justice sector or with perpetrators of stalking, harassment, or domestic abuse offences. The Service
This Housing Scheme Officer post will be cover a patch of three Later Living Schemes in Petworth, Fernhurst & South Harting, which are home to approximately 70 residents in total.

The Role
The focus of this Housing Scheme Officer role is to provide an intensive housing management service, within a supported housing setting, taking the lead on responding to resident queries and managing any reported cases of ASB, damage to property, breach of lease/ tenancy
This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
Housing Management: Conducts monthly property inspections of communal areas, reporting repairs and risks with detailed notes and photographs; coordinates viewings, pre-tenancy assessments, sign-ups, and customer induction meetings; oversees security measures and addresses tenancy-related queries and disputes.
Customer Relations: Undertakes regular customer wellbeing calls and visits, making referrals for care needs assessments and safeguarding; serves as the point of contact for customers regarding communal services, administers guest room bookings, and leads customer engagement, social events, and wellbeing activities.
Compliance: Conducts health and safety and fire safety compliance tests and inspections, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures; manages estate inspections, facilitates contractor access, and monitors orders to maintain high standards in building facilities and grounds.
Financial Management: Leads financial management of schemes, reviewing service charge estimates and statements; manages building furnishings, develops an asset schedule, and oversees budgeting for furnishing renewals in flats and communal areas.

The Candidate

The Package

Hours

• Full time – 35hrs
• 9 Month fixed term contract
• Flexibility to work hours between 08:00 - 20:00
• You’ll have options to enable a suitable balance of working from home and in the branch, we will need you to be branch based at times so you can connect and learn with colleagues. Working from home kit can be provided
• Typically, your working hours will align to our customer opening hours, with some Saturdays and evenings included, we will discuss your specific working pattern in more detail at interview

Scope * Maintain an up to date knowledge of all products and services offered by the company, its subsidiary and associated companies. * Answering the telephones to respond promptly, accurately and efficiently to enquiries from existing customers. * Promote the products and services offered by the company, its subsidiary and associated companies to existing customers of the company within the bounds of the company's categorisation as an 'information only' provider under the FCA's regime. Deal with the despatch of customer questionnaire forms as and when necessary and analyse/summarise the results of questionnaire and marketing activities. * Assist in the administration of mortgage arrears operations including the provision of any necessary statistical information. * Discharge delegated responsibilities as listed on the company's Authorities Schedule. * Prepare and issue standard or dictated letter responses to savings customers as appropriate, including researching and responding to "Lost Account" enquiries. * Deal with all administrative amendments relating to both customer details and account details, including address changes, R85 registration/cancellation, applying notice requests, etc. * Undertake all aspects of the ISA transfer (IN and OUT) process in line with laid down procedures. * Assist with all aspects of the Registration process in line with laid down procedures.
