Job Description: Franchise Director
Responsibilities:
The Franchise Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the comprehensive provision of franchise services and programs across the entire company. Key areas of focus include:
Developing the legal framework and drafting documentation for international franchising, including the Franchise Agreement and Operating Principles.
Negotiating the terms and conditions of each Franchise Legal Agreement.
Establishing a professional franchise division by creating a business plan and defining the brand proposition.
Identifying and researching potential markets, advising the CEO/Board on new opportunities.
Planning the distribution and logistics process, including identifying export requirements.
Identifying and proposing new partners and independent prospects.
Managing central communication and assets to ensure retail principles, store layouts, team recruitment/training, and the overall brand proposition meet standards.
Overseeing market sales, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), trade, and marketing calendar aligned with the annual territory business plan.
Managing and developing the global franchise and operation channel for efficiency through cross-functional support departments.
Driving franchise and business plan growth.
Establishing strategic objectives for each market, focusing on margin, price, brand, and achieving ambitious sales, service, and profit targets.
Leading business reviews in all markets.
Setting merchandising and pricing strategies in line with local marketplace dynamics.
Ensuring brand protection through compliance with legal agreements and Trading Terms and Conditions.
Building strong relationships, serving as a bridge between franchisees and operational partners, and facilitating the successful achievement of business targets.
The Franchise Director plays a crucial role in upholding core values and operational quality standards, acting as a cornerstone for the company.
In addition to organizing and planning the franchising department, the Franchise Director ensures effective communication of the corporation's message to franchisees regarding business strategy, promotions, and products.
Support to franchisees is provided to ensure overall company success, including training on business policies and procedures.
Performing analysis and developing action plans.
Offering meaningful testimonials.
Providing assistance in the growth of annual business plans through communication between franchisees and operating partners.
Ensuring the performance of business plans by coordinating with company resources.
Leading the execution improvement by communicating operating unit progress.
Implementing, maintaining, and managing an efficient system of control throughout the organization.
Handling administration, budgeting, supervision, reporting, and effective communication on all company affairs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; post-graduation in business (MBA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and/or operations.
More than 10 years of progressive leadership experience in franchising positions.
Active affiliation with appropriate franchising networks and organizations, preferred.
Ongoing affiliations with leaders in successful companies and organizations practicing effective Franchising Management.
Proficiency in delivering ideas in group settings.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff members.
Interaction with the company Board of Directors.
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel and database management.
High level of confidentiality.
