YOUR ROLE



Our Procurement and Carrier Management team based across Northwest Europe have an exciting opportunity for a practiced UK&I Category Manager where you will be responsible for the procurement of our Ground & Rail sub-contractor network, ensuring suppliers are operationally efficient and effective meeting not only CEVA’s or our customers needs.



This hybrid role will see you working Monday to Friday, where you will work from our head office in Ashby de la Zouch collaborating within the wider team, travelling to supplier and CEVA operations and working from home focused on sourcing strategies and category expenditure.



WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?



Reporting into the Head of Procurement Carrier Management Northwest Europe and collaborating closely with the UK&I Carrier Management team you will be responsible for all UK&I procurement activities where you will forge strong working relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders, implementing clear business plans, category strategies, and sourcing objectives, with a focus on risk mitigation suggesting improvements to operational management and suppliers. You will lead all contractual commercial negotiations with suppliers, managing tender processes, from the identification of needs to supplier selection and implementation, therefore your ability to lead discussions and influence is crucial to this role.



Through effective process management you will define, assess, qualify and evaluate suppliers in cooperation with operational and carrier management teams. You will manage RFX processes for all Ground & Rail sub-contracting activities and prepare recommendations following commercial evaluation of suppler business proposals where you will implement supplier development programs or onboarding practices dependant on outcome.



You will also support the Head of Procurement Carrier Management with annual procurement planning, reviewing objectives and performance goals, identify cost reduction opportunities, monitor and report on market trends, and support in the implementation of policies and practices, sharing knowledge and understanding where appropriate.



WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?



To be successful in your application you must be able to demonstrate proven road freight or logistics category management experience and hold a Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply certification (CIPS). You will have proven experience of managing the end-to-end process of supplier onboarding including risk mitigation, contract review and commercial negotiations.



You will be a natural communicator, negotiator and influencer able to form excellent internal and external partnerships with a strong team ethos. You will be a natural problem solver, logical and commercial thinker able to utilise data to consider data outputs, cost analysis and operational impact.

About the role

With growing customer accounts and demands in Aerospace, we are assembling a team of Customer Service Executives to deliver visibility, proactivity, optimization and high level of customer satisfaction to our major Aerospace account. Based in our Subang Jaya 4PL hub, the team of Customer Service Executives will be rostered in 4 shifts to ensure 24/7 availability to meet our customers' needs.

• Process customer’s orders/inquiries timely and accurately.
• Ensure customer’s orders are dispatched in the best route (transport plan) to optimize freight cost.

• Liaison with multiple parties including customers, overseas agents, etc for freight handling and/or other matters

• Handle shipping documentation (import/export / BL / documentation).

• Ensure compliance with customer’s Standard Operating Procedure.

Our growing Lead Logistics team based in Ashby de la Zouch has an exciting opportunity for a customer focused and accurate Operations Coordinator where you will oversee daily operations via air, ocean, and ground transportation and manage all communications with customers, global suppliers and 3PL providers via telephone and email.



This is a Monday to Friday, hybrid role after training period where you will work 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.



In this role, you will typically work from 08:00 to 16:30 or 09:00 to 17:30; however, flexibility is required to accommodate additional needs if necessary.

Reporting into the Operations Supervisor you will:



Receive bookings from clients and organise transport requests.
Input data into the system to support customers for manual shipment requests and out of scope requirements.

Job Summary: Coordinate the customs documentation and clearance tasks at branch level

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Custom Declaration

• Accepting and checking the instructions, information, and documents that enable the customs declaration to be made, in compliance with the regulations 
• Determining and assigning a classification in accordance with the regulations and customs procedures, which enables the amount of the duties and levies (the customs payment) to be established 
• Consulting the information system or the official documentation, in order to determine the documents to produce 
• Drawing up and entering the declaration in the internal and/or external system, in order to prepare, and then submit the declaration 
• Providing all the information required by the Customs Authorities.
• Delivering the necessary documents and the declaration to the Customs Clerk, in the event of an inspection or a physical check on the goods.

About the role

The Senior Payroll Executive is responsible for full spectrum of payroll function including processing of salaries/ wages, pay adjustment, CPF submission, annual tax filing as well as regular headcount & reporting related to payroll, ensuring a high level of data accuracy and compliance. This is a one-year contract position.

• Manage mid to complex monthly payroll processing across different shift patterns including overtime pay, festive advance pay, ad-hoc payroll and allowances.

You will serve as the primary point of contact, collaborating closely with customers in a warehouse environment. In this position, you'll specialize in resolving issues related to customer and product support.

Responsiblities

• Liase with customer forwarders and execute system transactions for outgoing shipments and deliveries
• Preparation of reports and status updates to customer whenever necessary
• Prepare export documentation, booking and communicate via email.
• Ensure all customer’s request and enquires are fulfilled with minimal complaints/error
• Work closely with warehouse operations to ensure orders from customer are fulfilled in time for delivery

Lead a team of Customer Services agent (Front-Offices, Back-Offices, Billing Auditors…)

• Ensure the targets (performance, quality, cost) are reached by the team who is responsible for
• Lead the team by bringing team spirit, encouraging continuous improvement initiatives
• Coach the team by sharing his/her experience and bringing trust and self-confidence
• Organize the daily team attendance and involvement (hybrid management, back-ups…)
• Alert his/her direct Manager in case of dysfunction internal to the team
• Escalate any related topics to the upper level of hierarchy, as per the agreed escalation matrix

Supervise and Monitor the Operational Workflow to Ensure a Full Supply Chain Visibility to the Customer

• Receive and control customer bookings according to the processes in place
• Contribute to the continuous improvements and savings for the customer (optimization, consolidations…)
• ensure the data quality and assign customer booking to a selection of 3PLs
• monitor shipments on regular basis (3PL shipment confirmation, milestones completion, etc.)
• drive corrective actions when required (missing event, missing document etc.)
• monitor delays and deliveries events using the dedicated IT solutions (TMS, collaborative platform, BI…)
• alert the customer team pro-actively in case of deviation and propose alternative solutions
• communicate with internal (regional and overseas) and external organizations
• ensure that all communications generated in the related IT solution (chat, tasks etc.) are handled in a timely manner.
• create the reports and analysis to give a consolidated vision of the flows for a single customer
• track and provide corrective actions for the customer complaints

• manage and supports order management to ensure the best possible service level

About the role

With growing customer accounts and demands in Aerospace, we are assembling a team of Customer Service Executives to deliver visibility, proactivity, optimization and high level of customer satisfaction to our major Aerospace account. Based in our Subang Jaya 4PL hub, the team of Customer Service Executives will be rostered in 4 shifts to ensure 24/7 availability to meet our customers' needs.

a) Monitor the Operational Workflow to Ensure a Full Supply Chain Visibility to the Customer

• Follow up invalid entries received from the customer or authorized partners (vendors, customers, subcontractors….)
• Monitor shipments on regular basis (3PL shipment confirmation, milestones completion etc.)
• Alert the customer team pro-actively in case of deviation and propose backup solutions
• Integrate manually, in dedicated IT solution, the Transport Request, if necessary
• Arrange alternative in case preferred carrier is unavailable
• Take corrective actions in case of missing pre-alerts
• Receive and control customer bookings according to the processes in place
• Check optimizations from optimizer if applicable, propose consolidation options.
• Report on data quality
• Provide clarifications and/or missing information
• Communicate & confirm arrangement to origin

b) Deliver Customer Satisfaction

• Manage and supports order management to ensure the best possible service level
• Meets deadlines and ensures completion of customer service tasks within the expected time frames

• Monitor the good deployment and efficiency of new operational practices with the 3PLs
• Contribute to formalize the SOP
• Provide 1st level of support to the 3PL (operational inquiries, data matters etc.)
• Set up and monitor corrective action plans in agreement with the 4PL HUB manager
• Produce dashboard and KPIs regarding 3PL performance

d) Manage operational quality

• Receive non-conformities and complaints and log these in a database
• Conduct root cause analysis on logged issues
• Categorized all non-conformities & complaints using standardized issue codes and reason codes
• Capture claims through non-conformities & complaints management process
• Assess of potential claims and recommendation to the customer
• Assign corrective actions to relevant parties and follow up
• Escalate claim to concerned party
• Conduct 8D analyses for complex claims
• In case of financial damages follow up with 3PL and insurance until financial settlement

 

e) Operate spot quotations

• Define requirements
• Get spot quotation from the 3PL’s panel
• Select provider
• Maintain spot quotation database / matrix

The successful candidate

• Experience in transport management / freight forwarding (air operations)
• Proven track record in a similar role, ideally in a Control Tower of 4PL environment
• Knowledge in freight forwarding, AOG and oversize cargo will be an advantage
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Must be willing to work on a 24/7 rotational shift

Technical

• Sound educational background or comparable business experience (international trade, logistics, supply chain etc.)
• Good knowledge of Air and/or Sea transportation is a strong asset.
• Proven track record in a similar role, ideally in a Control Tower of 4PL environment
• Minimum of 5 years of transport management / freight forwarding experience (Air & Sea operations)
• Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience
