This Quality Engineer will report to the Quality and Assurance Manager and will work within Governance, Risk, Compliance & Quality with UKPN Services based in our Chatham/South East office. You will be a permanent employee.

JOB PURPOSE:

You will provide competent quality management advice to promote compliance to ISO 9001: 2015 in the review, audit, certification, induction and management of procedures and processes in electrical infrastructure construction projects.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Provide Quality Management advice about ISO 9001: 2015 to other advisors, managers, employees, contractors and clients, both in the tendering and construction phases. Aim to maintain UK Power Networks Services' quality management system to ensure it can design, build, finance, operate and maintain primary electrical infrastructure for its clients.

2. Contribute to the review of existing and the development of new procedures/processes. Procedures include those from central UK Power Networks group and those which are UK Power Networks Services' project/contract specific. There will also be involvement in the communication, implementation and monitoring within the directorate;

3. Monitor compliance with ISO 9001: 2015, procedures, legal and moral obligations, and national, international and client standards. Plan project audits against agreed level 2, 3 and 4 schedules. Will undertake quality management system audits, produce audit reports and ensure findings are resolved promptly.

4. Assist and offer guidance to Project Managers in reviewing quality related project documents and requirements. Develop appropriate quality management system inductions, training and communication materials for the project team and subcontractors. Gather lessons learnt and maintains the project cost of poor quality process. Provide Project Managers with quality related updates for inclusion in monthly reports. Support any quality management system incident investigations.

5. Provide a monitoring function to ensure that suppliers, subcontractors and the services they provide exceed our quality management system expectations. This may include conducting external audits and undertaking random performance inspections of field teams to identify issues requiring improvement and highlighting good performance.

6. Monitor site certification of materials and equipment, including tool calibration, to ensure compliance with client and project requirements. To maintain associated project records to compile final data book documentation.

7. Facilitate third-party audits of UK Power Networks Services by external certification bodies. Champion quality management system processes in the business to ensure certification requirements are maintained.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential

• HNC (minimum requirement) qualification in a discipline such as Quality Management, Construction, Project Management or Technical/Engineering or equivalent.
• As a minimum be a Practitioner member of the Chartered Quality Institute with an aspiration to gain Chartered status, which we will support;
• Have quality management system experience gained in the construction industry (manufacturing based or other experience would not be suitable);
• Be a trained QMS Auditor/Internal QMS Auditor with experience in auditing to ISO 9001: 2015;
• Have experience of root cause analysis
• Attain several client access passes and licenses that may be required to work within UK industries such as airports, defence, nuclear, rail and underground rail;
• Hold a valid UK driving licence

Desirable

• Flexible in your approach to work and be prioritise as directed by the Quality and Assurance Manager and Project Manager on assigned projects or contracts;
• Audit to ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 45001: 2018 requirements would be desirable;
• Knowledge of ISO 55001: 2014, ISO 44001: 2017, ISO 19650-1: 2018, ISO 19650-2: 2018, ISO 19650-3: 2020 and ISO 19650-5: 2020 would be advantageous;

Our client is currently seeking an Apprentice Software Tester based on their customer site in Dover (Kent) This is a full-time, temporary role for 16 months. Core purpose:

To Design, Develop and author verification to verify the requirements of the system/product.

Leading the Compliance team, you'll play a fundamental role in supporting the UK in meeting our obligations with regards to Compliance Management, developing effective Quality Management and Food Safety Systems to drive the company, Customer and Third-Party compliance and continuous improvement across the business. The main goal is to ensure the product is compliant with regulations and specifications before reaching the client's customers. Identify and implement continuous improvement to the programs to prevent recurrence of the issues. * Responsible for the management of complaints including technical support for the investigation and implementation of appropriate corrective actions, maintenance of customer and corporate portals, publish monthly KPIs and trend data. * Manage relevant quality and food safety training programmes for the site ensuring that all operational staff receive adequate training and achieve the minimum agreed understanding and how it applies to their role. * Provide QS/FS governance and support to further enhance the food safety and quality culture at the site. * Deputise as appropriate for the Technical Manager during absence / holidays, including leading incident / Crisis management if required. * Lead communications interdepartmentally to understand and ensure company and customer expectations are met. * Any other reasonable management requests to meet the needs of the business. Job Description: We are seeking a experienced Quality Technician who will play a critical role in ensuring that materials, components, and finished products meet applicable standards and procedures. You will assist the inspection team and quality engineers throughout the assembly, inspection, and testing stages of manufacturing (before, in-process, and final). About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our Inspection Team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will oversee inspection-related activities specific to project requirements. Your role will involve performing and supervising dimensional and visual inspections, ensuring quality control, and working closely with suppliers to address non-conformities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of parts to engineering drawings using gauges and relevant equipment along with performing material inspections with high attention to detail.

JOB PURPOSE:

You will provide competent quality management advice to promote compliance to ISO 9001: 2015 in the review, audit, certification, induction and management of procedures and processes in electrical infrastructure construction projects.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Provide Quality Management advice about ISO 9001: 2015 to other advisors, managers, employees, contractors and clients, both in the tendering and construction phases. Aim to maintain UK Power Networks Services' quality management system to ensure it can design, build, finance, operate and maintain primary electrical infrastructure for its clients.

2. Contribute to the review of existing and the development of new procedures/processes. Procedures include those from central UK Power Networks group and those which are UK Power Networks Services' project/contract specific. There will also be involvement in the communication, implementation and monitoring within the directorate;

3. Monitor compliance with ISO 9001: 2015, procedures, legal and moral obligations, and national, international and client standards. Plan project audits against agreed level 2, 3 and 4 schedules. Will undertake quality management system audits, produce audit reports and ensure findings are resolved promptly.

4. Assist and offer guidance to Project Managers in reviewing quality related project documents and requirements. Develop appropriate quality management system inductions, training and communication materials for the project team and subcontractors. Gather lessons learnt and maintains the project cost of poor quality process. Provide Project Managers with quality related updates for inclusion in monthly reports. Support any quality management system incident investigations.

5. Provide a monitoring function to ensure that suppliers, subcontractors and the services they provide exceed our quality management system expectations. This may include conducting external audits and undertaking random performance inspections of field teams to identify issues requiring improvement and highlighting good performance.

6. Monitor site certification of materials and equipment, including tool calibration, to ensure compliance with client and project requirements. To maintain associated project records to compile final data book documentation.

7. Facilitate third-party audits of UK Power Networks Services by external certification bodies. Champion quality management system processes in the business to ensure certification requirements are maintained.

We are looking for experienced individuals to join our Community Safety team as Control Centre Operators. These are full time, permanent positions within Swale Borough Council’s Community Safety Control Centre. These posts will require working a rotating shift pattern, working weekends and Bank Holidays.

Swale Borough Council’s Control Centre operates 24/7 365 days a year working 12-hour rotational shift patterns, monitoring our in-house Public Space CCTV, Partnership & Commercial Contracts.

To fill the requirements of the post, you must have previous experience of working in a Control Centre / Public Space CCTV Environment. You need good IT and Communication Skills with the ability to work under pressure and independently using your initiative to deal with straight forward problems.
