The incumbent of this position will:

• Partner with division leaders to identify and implement system changes to support disclosure modernization efforts. Recommends technical solutions and approaches based on changes to business processes, new rulemakings, or policy changes.

1. Serves as the Computer Security (COMPUSEC) Manager. Protects and maintains the availability, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability of information system resources and information processed throughout the system's life cycle. Establishes and publishes squadron policy to manage the COMPUSEC program. Disseminates information and ensures computer security practices are adhered to by all functional areas in-garrison and in support of deployed war-fighting personnel. Reviews, analyzes, and validates certification and accreditation packages. Ensures computer software designs address information system security requirements. 2. Manages the Information Assurance Program. Implements procedures to ensure protection of information transmitted to the squadron, among units in the squadron, and from the squadron units using local or wide area networks, the worldwide web or other communications modes. Utilizes current and future multi-level security products collectively to provide data integrity, confidentiality, authentication, non-repudiation, and access control of the Local Area Network (LAN). Reports to Major Command (MAJCOM), Air Force Communications Agency (AFCA), National Security Agency (NSA), and Air Force Computer Emergency Response Team (AFCERT) all incidents involving viruses, tampering, or unauthorized system entry. Controls access to prevent unauthorized persons from using network facilities. Limits access to privileged programs (i.e., operating system, system parameter and configuration files, and databases), utilities, and security-relevant programs/data files to authorized personnel. 3. Serves as the Communications Security (COMSEC) Manager for all cryptographic activities including managing the Cryptographic Access Program (CAP). Maintains accountability for sensitive cryptographic materials and related COMSEC information. Oversees issuance of COMSEC materials. This position serves as the Privacy and Freedom of Information Act Officer in the VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) with a large and complex research program. This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing, with the employment type to be determined in negotiation with the preferred candidate and the PM&C delegate.
Where a non-ongoing specified term is offered, this would be for an initial period of up to 12 months, with possibility of extension up to a maximum period of two years.
A non-ongoing offer may result in conversion to an ongoing offer of employment, however this must occur within 18 months from the opening date of this advertisement.

You will serve as a Visual Information Specialist (Photographer/Illustrator) and be responsible for the selection, creation, design, development and production of various elements of visual information that produce a complete and finished visual product and/or training aid in support of ATTC's resident and nonresident training.

Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:

• Designing, laying out and preparing a wide variety of general and technical illustrations of aircraft, aircraft equipment, engine and major component assemblies, flight controls, instruments, electrical/electronic systems, hydraulic systems and aviation survival equipment, by hand or with computer applications that include vector and raster-based formats.
• Photographing a variety of subject matter including aircraft, aircraft equipment, engine and major component assemblies, flight controls, instruments, electrical/electronic systems, hydraulic systems, aviation survival equipment, aerial views, graduating classes, and portraits.
• Producing video productions of highly technical content for the training of Aviation "A" and "C" school students and welcome aboard productions for ATTC and local Coast Guard commands.
• Operating video equipment to include digital cameras, non-linear editing systems and software, external microphones, lighting, sets, and backgrounds as necessary for studio and remote productions.
• Performing routine preventive maintenance and is responsible for ensuring all ATTC visual equipment is in good repair.
• Serving as technical advisor and consultant for A/V presentations to instructors and individuals giving presentations at ATTC.
