Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and complete physical examinations, collect clinical data including vital signs, collecting specimens, prepare patients for tests, therapy, or treatments, order and interpret medical laboratory test results, diagnose medical condition of patient, administer medications or treatments and perform minor surgery.
• Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
• Complete accurate patient coding for effective billing, maintain accurate and detailed patient medical reports, and maintain inventory of medical supplies and instruments.
• Serve as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts to ensure the smooth flow of patient processing, treatment and discharge including patient triaging.
• Act as a mentor to new staff and/or physician assistant students.

Graduate Embedded Software Engineer

Location: Glasgow (hybrid working arrangement - 3 days per week on site vs. home)

Overview of the role:

Working as part of a diverse team, you will work across a product portfolio that encompasses cutting edge Land, Sea and Air products and fulfil an integral embedded software engineering role, involved in many aspects of software development across the full software lifecycle. Our products increasingly utilise Image Processing, AI and Data Analytics to keep Thales at the forefront of technology.

These opportunities would suit a recent Graduate from the following disciplines Computing, Electronics or Engineering. In particular, we are looking for graduates who have experience, and an interest in working with real-time embedded software.  To meet the diverse needs of our customers the software being developed ranges from graphical user interfaces through to low-level software which controls hardware devices in real-time.

You will be in a hands-on embedded software development role with experienced engineers providing mentoring and support as you develop your skills. As well as the technical challenges, you will also learn about the engineering process and its importance in the development of quality software.

Key attributes required:

• Demonstrable experience and desire to work in real-time embedded software

• Enjoy designing, developing and testing embedded software solutions and components

• Can demonstrate knowledge in programming languages and frameworks (JAVA, C, C++, Python, or any other)

• Develop an understanding of how software interacts with target hardware and Operating Systems

• Work collaboratively with other engineering functions to co-engineer products

Performs all tasks in keeping main campus and assigned off site grounds, parking garages, parking garage stairwells, parking lots, driveways, walkways, etc. in a clean and safe condition.

This includes but is not limited to:                           

• Removal and disposal of trash and debris

• Regular removal and replacement of trash receptacle liners

• Trimming back and removal of dead and low hanging limbs

• Replacement and/or repair of signage

• Mowing and weed trimming

• Snow removal and ice management

• Annual parking garage wash downs

• Safely and effectively operates power equipment and hand tools necessary for grounds work and snow removal

• Performs snow removal and ice management operations which, when necessary, will include adjusting shift to work nights, over nights and weekends.

• Safely and effectively operates vehicles, plows, skid steers, loader, etc.

• Reports main campus and assigned off site discrepancies with walkways, pavement, signage, safety, etc. to the Site Service Foreman to record and turn over for corrective repair.

• Reports parking garage discrepancies with doorways, walkways, pavement, guard rails, safety, etc. to the Site Service Foreman to record and turn over for corrective repair.

• Assists with/performs minor repairs of Site Service equipment.

• When required assists other departments in completing tasks, projects, etc.

• Assists in the moving and/or disposal of furniture and office equipment at the main campus and assigned off sites.

• Responds to and assists with the proper cleanup of spilled hazardous materials on the grounds of the main campus and assigned off sites.             

• Responds to and properly cleans/disposes of OPIM spills on the grounds of the main campus and assigned off sites.

• Responds to and assists in the extinguishing of small mulch fires.

• Assists with the loading and unloading of large delivery items             

• Removes and properly disposes of confidential paperwork (HIPAA) from assigned off site locations.   

• Performs all assigned tasks in a safe, effective and efficient manner.

• Adheres to all Albany Med and department policies, procedures and regulations.

• When required, assists the Director and Assistant Director of Facility Maintenance in all emergencies.
