Joining our bank

Picking and choosing the shifts that you want to work, whether this is evenings, weekends or Waking Nights, you’ll be helping to ensure the smooth running of our service. This will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to. You’ll also be our first point of contact for customers out of normal working hours needing to report an emergency maintenance issue and will need to work with our on-call managers and contractors to fix the problem! A colleague from our fantastic care team will be on site with you around the clock also, to help customers with any unexpected support needs.

You’ll ensure that our buildings and customers are safe and secure, and that we get on with our neighbours!

Anticipated start date on our bank is March 2024.

About you

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment or role before. You’ll be able to work on your own initiative and flexible to work at short notice.

How it works

Working on our bank, you’ll be able to pick and choose your shifts from those available, doing so via your mobile. These are likely to be weekday evenings (4pm – 10pm), waking nights (9:30pm – 8:30am) or weekend days (8am – 4pm / 3pm – 11pm)

Our pay rates are based on Living Wage Foundation rate. That means you’ll be paid a fair hourly rate for every hour that you work and your rate even includes a payment towards your holiday pay! The purpose of this role is to be responsible for timely and accurate input into a range of financial systems including creditor, debtor, nominal, bank and payroll. Prepare for payment the monthly payroll creditors.
Update, on a timely and accurate basis, employee pension records via the online portal, relating to new starters, leavers and other changes (e.g. contribution rate, change in hours, change of address, job title).
Assist with VAT claims, CIS returns and a range of financial & statistical returns.
Assist/lead on accounting reconciliations, including bank/ cashbook, third party insurance claims, Holiday & Tour reconciliations and liaising with CIT, Tour Operators and Travel Centres. Assist/undertake any postings to the financial system as required.
Responsible for the accurate recording and day to day management of the HQ petty cash, banking of receipts, accepting card payments, management of foreign currency requests and the issue of controlled stationery (e.g. cheques).
Assist with finance system/process reviews, including production of documentation/guidance and with the delivery of finance system/process training.
Assist with annual audits and provide information to auditors as required, including investigative work on the National Fraud Initiative.

Working in a busy Commercial Claims team. Dealing with a large case load of claims across all lines of business - Property, Liabilities, PI, Directors & Officers, Cyber, Injury, Construction, Engineering.

This role is ideal for somebody looking to make a jump into a Senior Claims role within a large insurance brokers. Must have experience of dealing with cross class claims to be considered for this opportunity.
