Job Purpose

The Breast Imaging Radiology team in East Kent has a longstanding reputation for excellence in breast screening and symptomatic breast services. The Breast Screening service started in Canterbury in 1989 a year after the introduction of the National NHS Breast Screening programme in the UK. JOB SUMMARY

• The Operational, Technology and Cyber Risk (OTCR) organisation is instrumental in protecting and ensuring the resilience of Standard Chartered Bank’s operations, data, and IT systems by optimising operational, technology and cyber risk across the enterprise. As a critical function reporting into the Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO), the Group OTCR team serves as the second line of defence for assuring that controls are implemented effectively, in accordance with the OTCR Framework, and for instilling a risk culture within the Bank.
• The Director, Reg Interpretation and Sox is a permanent, strategic role that requires strong business acumen and a detailed knowledge of OTCR Risk Frameworks (OR), and Operational Risk policies and standards. The successful candidate will have key skills in interpreting new and upcoming regulations, performing gap analysis, and implementing and tracking mitigation actions to close any gaps identified. Our Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years of leveraged/specialised finance/ private credit experience, ideally covering the ASEAN region

About the Role

What will your day look like?

As an Associate Director/ Senior Manager, Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Develop and/or review and modify complex, customised financial models for structured transactions and run cross sensitivity analyses using these models.
• Undertake the preliminary assessment and preparation of briefing papers in conjunction with other members of the LAF team.
• Completion of due diligence, financial modelling, & preparation of the credit memorandums.
• Optimise the financial performance of the LAF business by being effective in deal execution.

Role summary:

The role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's insurance operations. This role involves negotiating insurance policies with brokers, securing higher limits when necessary, and leading advanced discussions with insurers in critical scenarios. The Director will train and develop commercial teams on insurance needs and processes, continually improve operational processes, and maintain a deep understanding of credit insurance products and market trends. Responsibilities:

The role entails the following responsibilities:

(1) Policy Negotiation

• Ongoing Negotiation on New Policies: Lead negotiations with insurers and brokers to establish and update policies in line with commercial objectives.
• Client Engagement: Maintain a client-facing role, speaking directly with funders to understand their policies and requirements.
• Internal Liaison: Regularly communicate with the origination team to understand their constraints and support them with new opportunities.
• Co-Insured Policies: Set up co-insured policies with funders to expand coverage and mitigate risks.

(2) Ongoing Broker Management

(3) Process Ownership

• Process Improvement: Act as the owner of all insurance-related processes, continuously improving them for operational efficiency and risk reduction
• Oversight & Compliance: Ensure that all insurance operations adhere to relevant regulations and internal standards, including accurate documentation and policy management.
• Team Training: Train internal teams on insurance needs, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency and expertise across the board.

• Client-Facing Experience: The role demands significant external interaction and requires prior experience in handling clients, especially in negotiations and stakeholder management.
