Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be based in their Glasgow office and be responsible for, but not limited to, producing and providing accurate forecasts of project costs to completion/final value, monitoring cash flow and valuation plans, managing subcontract tender processes, managing subcontractor accounts as well as providing accurate reports of costs and values on the projects.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will ideally have at least 2 years' experience surveying on heavy civils schemes, preferably in the water sector, and have a good understanding of NEC3 and/or NEC4 forms of contracts. In addition, you will have a degree/HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying (or experience equivalent) and be able to prioritise workloads and work within set deadlines. Finally, you will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Keeping detailed records and maintaining well-organized work schedules
- Negotiating contracts with supplier
- Performing cost analysis

Purpose of the role

As a Support Worker you will be able to contribute to changing people’s lives. You will be able to help the people you support to live the individual life they want, ensuring they have choice and control over the planning and delivery of their support.You will enable them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support along with encouraging them to develop positive relationships and to be an equal and valued member of their local community.

The would be supporting two ladies. You would be required to assist with personal care, medication administration, domestic duties, shopping and day to day activities. It would be advantageous if you have previous experience of working with adults with challenging behaviour, although this is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Shifts would include days, evenings and sleepovers.

Drivers are preferred but are not essential.

An enhanced Adult PVG is required for this role.

What you'll be doing:

• The successful Construction Manager will be working on a large civil engineering / energy project near Glasgow;
• Manage the daily operations on site and ensure project timescales are met within a safe and accurate fashion,
• Reporting weekly to the Senior Project Manager on key aspects of progress issues and concerns,
• Contribute and help to ensure that success throughout all projects is achieved by delivering the programme on time,
• Support Site Agents on site,
• Any other construction management duties as required.

What you'll need to be successful:

• Ideally, the candidate will be degree-educated within civil engineering;
• At least 5 years' experience as a Project / Construction Manager;
• Previous civil engineering, NEC and Microsoft Project experience is essential;
• Energy experience is highly desirable;
• Valid CSCS, SMSTS, is essential.
