Theatre Logistics Support

This role requires a large amount of positive and effective interaction with all levels of customers, suppliers, and management teams. The Theatre Logistics Support is a Genmed representative on site and as such interaction with the customer and the supplier staff is required to be of the highest professional level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Distribute all received stock, goods and equipment including NHS Supply Chain orders to the appropriate areas within Theatres, Recovery, Logistics and surrounding Departments.
• Goods receipting of soft and consumable items in accordance with stock management systems.
• Support with the completion of consumable stock takes in the storeroom and other associated store areas and advising of any stock shortages or stock outs.

The Conference and Banqueting Logistics Supervisor will provide the Porters department in Conference and Events with the leadership required to maximize guest satisfaction at optimal productivity levels, whilst ensuring all meeting rooms, common hotel areas as well as C&E storages and its associated areas are set according to the business requirement, in a high standard of tidiness, cleanness in safe and secure environment.

You enjoy supervising and delivering events smoothly and efficiently, dealing with guests’ queries and complaints. You will work closely with the management team, deputising in their absence, and working towards creating memorable experiences for our guests and colleagues.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Apprenticeship is a 24 month programme, combining practical on-the-job training with study towards the Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship. You will work within a successful team while learning everything you need to know whilst supported by your peers, your managers, and the apprenticeship team within Kuehne+Nagel.

You'll be learning how to…

• Aligning with our Customer Care Teams to meet and exceed our Customer's requirements
• Coordinate the end-to-end import process from shipment initiation to delivery
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all import documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and custom brokers to track shipments and resolve any issues that arise during the import process.
• Address and resolve any issues related to import shipments, such as delays, damages, or compliance concerns.
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring clear communication and prompt responses to inquiries related to import shipments.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• The minimum entry requirement for this apprenticeship is Five GCSEs at grades 3 - 9 / A*-D including Maths & English)
• Our company values candidates who are passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a strong work ethic, and are able to communicate effectively with others. Good planning and organization skills is important and you will need the ability to multitask and be a self-starter.
• Previous use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial.

Key Information:
Apprenticeship Contract:Fixed Term - 2 years
Working hours: 8:30am-5:00pm, including 1 hour lunch.
Place of work: outline. Will be expected onsite full time until performance expectations met & initial training completed. If approved, opportunity to work from home 2 days a week is available.

YOUR ROLE

We are currently recruiting a Customer Care Specialist to join our International Supply chain management department, who will be responsible for daily direct interaction with our internal and external customers, proactive customer service in a timely and professional fashion, problem solving, customer follow up, interaction with our sales colleagues. And equally as important, ensuring that our Operational Care Centres (OCC's) have all of the necessary information (including systematic information) to be able to execute on our customer behalf. The Customer Care Specialist is responsible for ensuring that our customers experience is a positive one each and every time they engage with Kuehne + Nagel, as well as documenting and investigating any deviations from the expected level of service provided. All of these activities are to be executed via Kuehne + Nagel Customer Care system. This is a full-time position in our office at Birmingham.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all requests carried out to the pre-set service levels and standard procedures, in a timely manner, in line with the KPI requirements;
• Focus on improving customer satisfaction by delivering high quality services to be evidenced via our customer feedback tool;
• Ensure service excellence by leveraging a high level of forwarding and market knowledge;
• Monitor customer shipments in order to provide proactive updates to customers and to problem solve (by collaborating with other stakeholders) in anticipation of a customer complaint;
• Document, investigate and conduct root cause analysis on any deviations using Kuehne+Nagel systems;
• Manage tasks through Business Process Automation tools (BPA) and all related features such as task tags;
• Inclusion and transfer of customer requirements into the Kuehne+Nagel systems (including sold rates and other agreements) so that Operational Care Centres (OCCs) are clearly informed about deliverables;
• Field complaint calls and provide problem resolution in alignment with stakeholders.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Strong customer service orientation and able to communicate effectively;
• Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and strong interpersonal skills as well problem solving skills;
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team - achieve deadlines and be a teamplayer;
• Experience in either freight forwarding or transport planning with key focus on Sea Logistics - minimum 2 years of workexperience (recent graduates in a logistic studies are also welcome);
• Excellent knowledge of MS office features, especially excel;
• Ability to cope with change and embrace new technologies, demonstrate adaptability to change.
