As a key member of the Marketing Excellence team, the Marketing Leadership Development Program Leader will be instrumental in driving transformation by designing and executing a robust program aimed at elevating the marketing and leadership skills of rising marketing leaders at Amgen.
This role will focus on building and delivering our Marketing Leadership program to support the mid-to-senior level marketer development, as well as build an early career talent acquisition strategy.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead Amgen's Marketing Excellence team in designing and executing a comprehensive program to enhance the marketing and leadership skills of rising marketing leaders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement a multi-year program focusing on senior marketer development.
- Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives within the program.
- Manage all aspects of the program, including curriculum design, talent review calls, and mentorship programs.
- Partner with HR and marketing leaders to establish an early-career talent acquisition strategy.
- Ensure documentation, key performance indicators (KPIs), and ongoing improvements are fostered within the program.
- Contribute high-quality content to the competency model.
Key Activities:
- Identify and select top talent for a 2-year cohort program.
- Work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design effective and consistent training programs.
- Develop learning materials and resources, ensuring they are up-to-date and engaging.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback collection.
- Stay abreast of industry trends to ensure training programs remain innovative and effective.
- Collaborate on the development of an early-career talent acquisition strategy.
- Manage project plans, budgets, and communication plans effectively.
- Provide coaching and collaboration with stakeholders to identify skill gaps and align training programs with organizational goals.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
Master’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
Associate’s Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs.
- Familiarity with instructional design methodologies and learning management systems.
- Strong knowledge of training evaluation techniques and metrics.
- Advanced level of proficiency in Make Strategic Choices and Deliver Commercial Success, Competencies.
- 5+ years industry experience, strong instructional design skills, excellent communication, and adaptability.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.

Salary Range
152,128.00 USD - 179,472.00 USD
