We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our Quality team. This role involves carrying out inspections and surveillance aligned with our Project Quality Plan, as well as working closely with Site Managers to ensure seamless quality management across all project phases. • Quality Assurance and Control:

  • Implement and oversee the Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Review and validate all project documentation, including final certification packages and Lifetime Record packages, for adherence to contract requirements.
  • Ensure all calibration and test equipment meet company and contract standards.

  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, attending project meetings as needed.
  • Issue necessary quality documents for client approval and maintain real-time project documentation with subcontractors.
  • Conduct final reviews of all fabrication and assembly documentation before client submission.

• Training and Audits:

  • Provide Quality Awareness Training sessions to team members.
  • Conduct audits on project quality systems, including subcontractor and supplier systems, and address any non-conformities.
  • Manage quality questionnaires for additional suppliers or subcontractors applying for approved status.

• Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSEQ) Standards:

  • Strictly adhere to HSEQ procedures, reporting any concerns or incidents.

About the role

The role of the NCR Facilitator is to expedite and support the timely completion of Non-conformance reports through the various steps of the online NCR management tool (CCIS/SWITCH). The role is to monitor several contracts to ensure that stakeholders in the process complete their activities within predetermined action and escalation time frames.

NCR Facilitators shall attend the NCR meetings for Contracts they are responsible for and provide support for accelerating the review where necessary. Their other duties shall include but are not limited to.

The position is within the quality department of the delivery directorate. This department develops and maintains policies, strategies, standards, procedures, and best practice in quality as well as providing oversight of the site's activities and effectiveness.

Role Responsibilities

• Producing Daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting to provide updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Support the organisation and running of Quality Exceptions Panels. Understanding the requirements for a panel to convene, scheduling meetings taking into consideration key stakeholders' availability, recording and minute taking for meetings, and ensuring that the minutes of the meeting are uploaded to the electronic records management system. Keeping required trackers for the ONR and uploading outcomes in a timely manner to allow work to progress.

The role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will support the QA Area Lead in ensuring that the Project Quality Assurance requirements are understood and implemented and to ensure that Client and statutory requirements are effectively met.

Day to day, you'll support developing of standards, incorporating lessons learned / best practices, training, audits and quality improvements, including:

• Documentation reviews
• Nonconformities
• Corrective actions
• Writing quality procedures

This role is full time, with a four-day week every other week, and will be based at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater. There is however a secondment allowance and accommodation available for anyone based more than two hours from the site.

Essential experience of the Quality Assurance Engineer

• Significant experience in quality roles
• Major construction project experience
• Experience working in highly regulated environments e.g. Oil and gas, Nuclear etc.

Qualifications for the Quality Assurance Engineer

• ONC / HNC / HND in engineering discipline
• Membership of Chartered Quality Institute and IRAC auditor training

The successful candidate must be able to achieve a minimum of BPSS security clearance for this role.

As a Quality Control Inspector, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll ensure static, and rotation mechanical equipment is installed in the correct orientation:

• Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
• Liaise with client's representative for conducting of day-to-day inspection during the construction activities.
• Ensure installation of equipment is in compliance with ECS Code, drawings, vendor and code requirements with respect to; material, alignment, etc.
• Maintaining LTQR's as required during inspections ensuring all signatures on LTQR and ITP during inspection.

As a Welding Quality Control Inspector , you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for ensuring standards are met with regard to welding on-site

Day to day, you'll read inspection test plans, inspect work, and produce reports

• Perform witnessing as required by the Inspection and Test Plans to meet MEH programme demand, working to project deadlines and targets.
• Record results for inspections undertaken, highlighting any non-conformance and accepting or rejecting finished items as required
• Liaise with the Area Quality Leads to ensure appropriate levels of surveillance are deployed and support the relevant surveillance plans
• Work alongside the fabrication / installation team to ensure all contracted requirements have been met.
• Review quality records for accuracy and adequacy of content to allow the compilation of lifetime records to support End of Erection Status Reports

This role is full time, 38 hours per week and will be based at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater.
