What will I do in this position if hired?
In this position, you will serve as Regional Financial Management Specialist providing advice and recommendation to the Branch Chief.
Typical assignments include:
- Planning, organizing, reporting, and overseeing the Regional Office program budgets.
- Assessing the regional financial management operations, develops and implements a plan of action for improvements against general guidance.
- Accomplishing results through developing or revising internal operating policies or procedures within the overall framework established by the Region or National office policy level.
- Overseeing and managing of credit card programs ensuring the proper usage and payment of credit card activities, as well as monitoring and Providing resolutions of payment delinquencies of all regional employees within the guidelines of Agency rules and regulations.
- Designing, operating, and evaluating an internal controls system to ensure financial integrity.

Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
