What will the role involve?

Every person deserves the chance to get an education. Some learners may need a little more help than others. That’s where you come in. As a learning Support Assistant, you’ll work with young people (Aged 16+) living with Autism, ADHD and other disabilities that impact their education. Our curriculum isn’t like a mainstream college – We don’t focus as much on qualifications. The learning support you provide would be more focused on life skills, learning programmes, work experience, Maths and English skills, and other activities to enrich the learners’ experiences. This college has between 5 and 7 learners in each class, so you’ll have the chance to really get to know the learners you support.
A day in the life of a Learning Support Assistant will involve: Assisting teaching staff in all classroom activities including planning, teaching and assessing learning. Working closely with students keeping them engaged, motivated and inspired to reach their full potential. Working either 1-2-1 with learners, or in small group settings to help them achieve their learning goals.
To be a successful Learning Support Assistant, you’ll need: Patience, compassion, and resilience – The learners you’ll support have Autism and ADHD, which may have an impact on their behaviour and communication needs. A minimum of GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English is required. Great communication skills – Both verbal and written communication is important in this role as you’ll be speaking to a lot of different people at different times and need to be able to update the learners’ plans. We require flexible availability, as the shift lengths may vary and you will be travelling to a different client site each day. You may occasionally be expected to stay away from home.

• A Full Driving License

• Willingness and ability to travel

Please note all work will require prolonged periods of standing and some use of step stools and ladders. Some sites are in warehouses or large retail premises where you may be required to access and work with ground and high level stock.

This role will involve working unsociable hours, working early mornings or night shifts, this therefore means we are unable to hire anyone under the age of 18 years.

Job Title: Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) Triage Worker

Location: Remote

Salary: £18-21 per hour

Hours: Full-time / Part-time (flexible options available)

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic ISVA Triage Worker to be the first point of contact for individuals affected by sexual violence. In this vital role, you will provide immediate support, assess needs, and ensure survivors are connected with appropriate services for ongoing care and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial needs and risk assessments for survivors of sexual violence.
• Provide immediate emotional and practical support through trauma-informed approaches.
• Signpost and refer survivors to appropriate ISVA services or other specialist agencies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and contribute to service reports.
• Liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies to facilitate timely support.
• Promote awareness of sexual violence services within the community.

About You:

• Experience supporting individuals affected by trauma, preferably within sexual violence services.
• Understanding of the impact of sexual violence and relevant safeguarding procedures.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of local and national support networks and pathways is an advantage.
