The incumbent is involved in one or more recreational activities such as military or community center activities; youth activities; outdoor recreation; craft and hobby shops; athletics, fitness and sports programs; music and theater and/or other similar MCCS recreational services.

Provides oversight of activities and necessary services to authorized patrons, including general information on the use of equipment.  Provides information concerning facilities and operation. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Monitors and checks the security of premises. 

Fitness Attendants shall demonstrate a fundamental knowledge in the safe operation of fitness center equipment and facility operations, and first echelon fitness equipment maintenance and repair. 

May assist in maintaining routine reports and/or perform clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties as needed.  May operate a cash register, receive payments and make change.

• Assists the Fitness Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility; leads and or supervises the operation during second shift of program operations and in the absence of the Fitness Manager.
• Assist in the publicizing sports facilities, programs and events by drafting articles for local newspapers and as instructed by supervisor coordinates with marketing for posters, flyers and other promotional material.
• Oversees the inventory of property; fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate.
• Instructs customers and monitors proper usage of equipment, as needed.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Typical work hours are Monday to Friday 8:00A -4:30P. Alternative work hours, if desired, should be agreed upon at the time of joining. Each full time provider is required to work a minimum of 80 hours per pay period (every two weeks) unless on leave status.
During the course of employment, participation in special projects pertinent to assigned Psychiatry or sub-specialty may be necessary as the projects become available with strategic or other initiatives. Examples of such projects may be SUD, Geriatric clinic, and chronic psychiatric disease management program. When working with inpatients, provider is expected to participate in discharge planning and other interdisciplinary patient care plan activities. During this time, information regarding patient status should be discussed with the Inpatient Psychiatrist and other team members and ensure proper hand off at the end of the shift as necessary. Physicians may be assigned duty as a supervising or collaborating physician for a midlevel provider. Physicians are expected to provide clinical oversight and review. Supervising or collaborating responsibilities and performance will be noted in the physician's performance evaluation. Most providers will need to act as surrogates for the patients of their colleagues, when one or more of their colleagues are on leave. All physicians need to follow departmental and VHA policies for leave and attendance and will work within Title 38 appointment guidelines. Currently, VHA guidelines do not permit comp time or overtime pay for physicians. Leave should be requested in as much advance notice as possible to minimize disruption to patient care services. All unscheduled absences must be properly communicated.
Timely documentation is necessary in all areas in accordance with departmental policy. All administrative work should be completed in a timely fashion.
Quality of care should be able to meet professional standards at all times. All physicians will work within their privileges at all times, unless necessitated by an emergency.

You’ll work closely with social workers and treatment teams to ensure wrap-around support. You’ll assist customers transitioning from hospital into our fully-furnished properties or through floating support for those living in their own homes. Typical day as a support coordinator

• Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, medication prompts, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy.


• Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.


• Attending MDT meetings for customers and working collaboratively with other professionals involved in customers care.


• Use technology to complete admin tasks (customer notes, safeguarding, incident reporting, support planning)
