Your Role as a Hospitality Trainer:

As a Hospitality Trainer, you'll enjoy the flexibility of working from home and get to hit the road and visit different sites within your region to meet your learners face-to-face.

Working Monday to Friday, a typical week will involve 2-3 days of travelling to see your hospitality apprentices. With the rest working from home; meeting apprentices online and completing administration.

What You'll Do:


Work with hospitality apprentices in their workplaces and online.
Use your industry knowledge to train the next generation of hospitality.
Meet new apprentices and discuss their learning needs.
Explain how English and maths are important in hospitality, to support your apprentices with their functional skills.
Visit employers and provide feedback on their apprentices’ skills.
Develop relationships with employers in your area.
Complete administrative and planning tasks, using Google Suite and internal platforms and systems.




About You

We’re seeking passionate Hospitality Professionals, looking to share their knowledge and make a meaningful impact on the hospitality industry. To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following:


Demonstrable experience at Hospitality Management level. Coupled with a passion for teaching.
Experience managing one or more of the following: F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office, Reception & Reservations, Conference & Events, Outlet, Kitchen.
A good grasp of technology and administrative skills.
Have, or be willing to work towards, a Level 2 (GCSE) qualification in English and maths.
A valid Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle for travel within your region.

YOUR CORE PURPOSE WILL BE:


To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the hotel to the satisfaction of all guests needs
The night audit is completed to fulfil all audit and statistical information requirements for the hotel
To ensure the security of hotel guests and hotel as a whole and to provide services for hotel guests.
Carry out the minimum of 2 security checks at regular intervals with special emphasis on security, fire and safety
Check hotel guests in and out, and assist with luggage when required
Serve food and liquor to company standards
Ensure all revenue is correctly charged and monies are securely kept
To ensure the total cash takings balance with the Opera settlements report and the receipt sheet and to complete the banking according to the correct procedure
Operate the hotel switchboard and deal with all internal and external calls, according to procedure
Order and deliver guest’s newspapers and correct charging and controls
Action early morning calls at the time specified and to the standards laid down
The preparation of Room Service orders and service to the rooms when required
Cleaning of areas as requested, removal of all trays from public areas, bedroom corridors as necessary
To have a thorough knowledge of and adherence to the law with regards to the following company regulations
The preparation of hot food
Undertake special duties or work outside the normal daily/weekly routine but within the overall scope of the position


WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:


You must be available to work between the hours of 11pm and 7am with a flexible approach to nights worked as the role will include weekends.
