Communication and support
• Become the lead contact for various education workstreams
• Lead the development of innovative proposals for education transformation projects
• Support the Senior Programme Lead for Education in development and delivery of the communications strategy effectively engaging stakeholders.
• Create reports and papers to update relevant boards and programme steering groups on programme developments and to seek approval for recommended action.

Data and information
• Keep up to date with research and literature from national and international sources relevant to the cancer workforce and education
• Collate data and literature into concise reports and tools and present to the Senior Programme Lead for Education, making clear recommendations for action

Planning and reporting
• Manage programme plans ensuring that this contains clear objectives, tasks and identified leads
• Ensure that the work plan reflects, and contributes towards the delivery of the Cancer Academy strategy / implementation plan,
• Cancer Workforce strategy, and objectives of improved clinical care and patient experience
• Coordinate the reporting of outcome measures so that they can be monitored during the year
• Track progress against these outcome measures and provide progress reports to programme steering groups, the Cancer Academy Programme Board, and Workforce and Education Board when required

To provide front of house support on medical induction days and be a point of contact for all Trainees and Students. Undertake all general administrative duties as required. Manage telephone and face to face enquiries on a daily basis.

Working closely with the Senior Education Coordinator, Education Coordinators, Postgraduate Education Manager and Undergraduate Education Manager, Preceptorship Lead and the Practice Education Co-ordinators, the post holder will be required to develop effective communication approaches with staff across the organisation including medical consultants, trainees, students, nursing and allied health professionals, preceptees/preceptors, department managers, practice education leads, and learners.

Administration & Coordination

FINANCE
• Monitor and maintain accurate budgetary records for the Cancer Academy, supporting financial planning and tracking with the Senior Programme Lead for Education.
• Lead on processing financial transactions, including raising purchase order requisitions, invoicing external organisations, and managing personal payments, ensuring all actions are compliant with the Trust’s Standing Financial Instructions (SFIs).
• Achieve sponsorship income targets, acting as the primary liaison for sponsors, managing contracts and financial records, and ensuring sponsors receive appropriate support and engagement at events.



PLANNING AND REPORTING
• Work with the team to plan short and long term deliverables, regularly monitoring and adjusting plans as required
• Support the team to determine overall project durations, when activities and events are planned including their dependencies taking into account requirements and availability of resources
• Develop and manage work plans with clear objectives and outcomes as identified by the team
• Support the team in the reporting of project status metrics to facilitate the identification of project priorities and reporting progress to relevant boards
• Assist in the tracking of progress against these outcome measures
• Support the Senior Programme Lead and Education Manager to maintain a risk register for the programmes of work reporting risks and issues according to a risk assessment framework



ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the production of programme documentation, including project update reports for key stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency.
• Provide feedback to stakeholders, address issues as they arise, and follow up on outstanding matters to ensure timely resolution and effective communication.
