Specific duties include:

• The incumbent has wide latitude in reviewing daily operations and apprising the management team on problem areas, proposing corrective actions to be taken, and the monitoring of those actions once implemented. Public Laws, VA Manuals and Directives, Federal Acquisition and Veterans Administration Acquisition Regulations serve as the basis for interpretations, decisions, and correct application of VBA's data systems, principles, contract methods, and techniques. The incumbent will serve as the Alternate Automated Data Processing Applications Coordinator for VBA. He or she develops programs to support computer-enhanced systematic internal reviews and provides comprehensive analysis on a wide variety of VBA acquisition functions conducted via automation. The incumbent must initiate and analyze studies of VBA acquisition to provide feedback and generate new initiatives to enhance the current processes. The Sr. Manager, Lead Category Manager will report directly into the Director of IT Procurement and will lead the development of category strategies, design sourcing plans, oversee negotiations, implement contracts, and drive successful supplier relationships. This leader is also responsible for ensuring strong alignment with, and becoming a trusted advisor to, key functional leaders. Focusing on the Cloud provider space, the Lead Category Manager investigates available products, evaluate and recommend products based on user requirements. Job Description Summary

Under the direction of the Sr. Regional Procurement Director with dot line support to the Director of Operational Excellence leader, the purpose of the Procurement Director is to develop partnerships with the business unit as well as client leaders and ensure Procurement resources are aligned and executing Procurement strategies.  This role serves as a senior leader of the Procurement team with regular access and exposure to executives throughout the company in order to advocate for Procurement objectives and critical Procurement-related activities.   A primary responsibility of this position is to build strong partnerships and relationships with leadership as well as the client procurement team.     

The Procurement Director has overall responsibility for all client facing and business facing Procurement activity which is primarily focused on the execution of category management, strategic sourcing and elements of supplier management associated with the spend categories.  The Procurement Director will also be involved and at times lead the execution of any highly strategic, complex or confidential work across categories or transformation initiatives (e.g. Workday deployment, adoption, optimization, etc.).

The Procurement Director collaborates with the Procurement Vice President and business unit leaders and client sourcing executives to develop strategic plans that support business unit objectives.  The Procurement Director will be responsible for meeting or exceeding all promised savings, risk management and other performance targets and will work with the Procurement Vice President to package and communicate those results for dissemination across the executive team.

The Procurement Director has overall responsibility for hiring and retaining talent and oversight of all performance management and career development activities. In addition, the Procurement Director has direct management responsibility for his/her team of analysts, associates, and/or category managers.

Job Summary
The QIC Associate analyzes existing inventory and resolves inbound discrepancies in order to drive the operational efficiency of warehouse operations. Validates inbound shipments, creates standard inventory reports and forecasts, and leads regular cycle counts. By ensuring the quality and efficiency of inventory management, this job contributes to customer satisfaction and minimizing the facility’s expenses.

Responsibilities

• Receives inbound products from manufacturers and checks packing slips to ensure that the quantity of product matches the slips and the order placed. Enters and validates product data in the database and releases product for use in the facility.
• Develops forecasts of inventory based on customer demand, orders, and shipment speeds of various products and manufacturers.
• Places electronic orders based on inventory reporting and forecasting. Communicates with manufacturers as necessary to provide additional order information.
• Monitors inventory levels continually and runs reports from database to analyze slow-moving products, fast-moving products, and expiration date data.
• Evaluates quantity discrepancies and quality issues, such as damaged products and enters issues into database and contacts manufacturers to identify and resolve the issue and, as necessary, escalates the issue to the Manager
• Monitors expired product, returns and transfer of product

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience preferred
• High School Diploma/ GED preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.
