CMA Recruitment Group is partnering exclusively with a specialist professional services provider based in Bournemouth, Dorset, who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their established finance team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join this business in a pivotal role within this corporate business environment, you will be reporting into the Financial Controller but have exposure at Director level with stakeholder management responsibilities.

What will the Management Accountant role involve?

• Working closely with the Finance Director, producing accurate management accounts to strict deadlines.
• Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasting and partnering in the wider team to gather this financial information.
• Month end and nominal ledger reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies.
• Monthly payroll preparations.
• Preparing VAT returns on a monthly basis.
• Finance business partnering with finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant role:

• Ideally you will be studying ACCA, CIMA or similar level accounting qualification.
• Experience gained within the professional services sector is highly preferable.
• Knowledge of SRA (Solicitors Accounts Rules) is desirable although not essential.
• Happy to communicate at all levels.
• Driven, self starter who enjoys continuous development.

30 HOURS PER WEEK

• To support the effective delivery of the project’s objectives working collaboratively as part of a project team, the wider HR function and with Service Unit colleagues.
• To provide support to the project team in organising project activities, preparing presentations, monitoring progress, facilitating and note taking at key project related meetings, including presentations, workshops and staff engagement events.
• To manage the flow and effective sharing of information within the project team and across the organisation.
• To engage with the wider HR function and Services to ensure that changes that could impact the project are identified and tracked as appropriate.
• To undertake both quantitative and qualitive research, analyse the results and present back findings in an organised and structured way to the project team. This will include complex analysis of employee data to understand impacts of new proposals on services and equalities.
• To set up operational systems and procedures required by the project and support their transition into business as usual.
• Assist with the relevant internal governance processes to ensure that direction and authorisations are received at each stage of the project.
