The incumbent serves as the Assistant Chief of Health Information Management (ACHIM). This position reports to the Chief of Health Information Management (CHIM). Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• The incumbent serves as the Assistant Chief of Health Information Management (ACHIM) in a medical facility of high complexity (level 1), with responsibility for the supervision of all HIM functions. Major duties include but not limited to:

The Office of Acquisition Information Technology Services provides transformational system development, incremental system development, operational and management services for FAS business applications. The organization advises FAS leadership and program areas on IT tools that support and enhance FAS’s business operations. IDQ is organizationally aligned to the FAS business areas to most effectively deliver the IT services, systems, and functions they need. As an Information Technology Project Manager you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Serve as a Cloud Engineer for high velocity information technology (IT) projects, leading and implementing specific IT projects and defining and structuring cloud modernization projects for new and current initiatives within GSA IT.

The Community Placement Social Work Coordinator provides social work services to the Veteran population seen in Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) clinics at the San Francisco VA Medical Center or in the Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC). These services include but are not limited to placements in skilled nursing or other specialized settings, assessment of levels of care needed and available options, considering insurance benefits and family preference. Services are at the advanced practice level and include high quality case management, advocacy, and coordination of linkages to other appropriate VA or community service providers and/or agencies as needed by the client. The Social Worker will also collaborate with the PACT Team to provide direct clinical services to patients and their families/significant others as needed. The Social Worker may follow certain patients who have been placed in specialized settings, coordinating with staff at those settings for long-term planning and re-connection with VA services.

This position is seen as the specialist in facilitating complex community placements. Advanced practice social work assessment and intervention skills assure patient safety, completion of referrals, and warm hand -offs to resource agency programs and providers in the setting of complex, high risk patient presentation and care. • Assists with capture and reporting of health record documentation deficiencies as needed including downloading data and creating trended reports.
• Reviews health records to ensure that all records contain sufficient information to meet medical/legal requirements, to ensure continuity of patient care, and to support education and research needs. Assists clinicians with completion of delinquent/incomplete health records. The incumbent performs the quantitative and qualitative analysis on both electronic and paper-based health records.
• The incumbent assists physicians with the completion of delinquent/incomplete health records and serves as the expert resource for clinical staff regarding requirements for complete documentation.

Serves as the focal point for proposed changes to the MAS Solicitation from various internal and external stakeholders.

Leads a team responsible for development of a MAS Solicitation Change Package, to include GSA form 1649, for each recommended change that will be sponsored by the MAS Solicitation Management Team. 

Advises and supports implementation of the Supply Chain Risk Management strategy for the MAS Program and supports implementation of the MAS Communications plan for the MAS Program.

Serves as alternate to the MAS Solicitation Contracting Officer, holding a GSA Senior Unlimited Acquisition Warrant - Level IV, capable of executing CO authority for the MAS Solicitation.

Evaluates resource requirements for the proper performance of MAS contract award and administration  functions, recommends allocation of FAS resources across MAS contracting activities within each portfolio.

Manages the human resources of the MAS Solicitation Management Team. Establishes organizational structure, allocates work force and financial allocations and delegates authority and responsibility as needed. 

Ensures contracting officers on the MAS Solicitation Management Team are warranted, meet educational requirements and adhere to applicable regulations/laws and receive required continuing education/training.
