Employed by Nott’s SVS Services, working in partnership with Nottingham University Hospitals Trust, this is an exciting opportunity to provide crisis support worker support to children, young people and their families who are accessing services at the Nottinghamshire Hub of the EMCYPSAS and across the East Midlands.

Job purpose
The experienced Children and Young Person’s Crisis Support Worker will provide sensitive, client-centered, non–judgmental support to survivors, aged 17 and under, of sexual violence. This will include providing advocacy support for clients during forensic medical examinations.

Responsibilities

To work as part of the initial response team of clinicians, forensic physicians, police officers and EMCYPSAS management team to deliver a high standard of service for clients referred to EMCYPSAS by the Police or who self-refer.
To be responsible for thorough forensic cleaning of the forensic suite following a forensic medical examination.
To provide cover for EMCYPSAS helpline and Email contacts, answering calls and responding to emails, acting as a first point of contact, providing information and support on topics relating to sexual violence to clients, families and carers and professionals who call the helpline or send emails and responding to the needs of clients who self-refer.
Essential experience, qualifications and skills

Evidence of relevant professional experience working with children and young people (CYP) in a supporting role.
Knowledge of issues experienced by children and young people and in particular in relation to sexual violence and safeguarding.
Experience of working in a multi-agency setting and partnerships working with a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies.

• To deal with routine correspondence and telephone enquiries of a personal and confidential nature pertaining to service user's financial details and the payments to service providers.
• To deal with daily incoming and outgoing post for the direct payments, provider payments, deferred payments, residential and non-residential assessments teams within agreed timescales and deadlines.
• To work together with your colleagues in reviewing and updating procedures to improve quality and consistency.
• To maintain effective working relationships with Lincolnshire County Council staff, providers of services, service users, and other professionals.
• To maintain computer and manual filing systems.

Your New Role
Develop and design electrical systems for various building types, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Produce detailed design packages, including schematics, layouts, and specifications for electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical designs with other building services.
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of electrical installations.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes.
What You'll Need to Succeed

• Proven experience in electrical design engineering, preferably within the building services sector.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
