You will serve as a Senior Information Technology (IT) advisor and Investigative and Law Enforcement Information Systems Program Manager for CGIS.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
- Managing, directing, supervising and independently performing IT analytical and administrative work related to establishing and maintaining all Criminal Justice systems and interfaces required to complete CGIS' mission.
- Configuring and optimizing network hubs, routers, and switches.
- Developing and implementing network backup and recovery procedure
- Integrating and aligning information security and/or cybersecurity policies to ensure that system analysis meets security requirements
- Performing file and registry monitoring on the running system after identifying intrusion via dynamic analysis
Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position. The incumbent must obtain and maintain the professional certifications necessary to achieve and sustain the Information Assurance Management Level 3 (IAM3) and Digital Forensics Examiner (DFE) professional competencies IAW applicable DOD and USCG directives.
