A SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-6, (1) Incumbent is responsible to provide technical assistance to subordinate elements, the headquarters logistics section, and other staff sections concerning logistics and maintenance management. Assists in providing proficiency training for logistical personnel within the command. Reviews current and future equipment authorization documents and provides recommendations for modification. Performs random reviews of subordinate organization expendable/durable requisitions. Assists in monitoring funds availability in accordance with regulations and the commander's priorities. Verifies property listings to ensure non-expendable quantities are commensurate with authorized levels of current or future authorization documents. Reviews current due-in status of back orders and identifies issues or problems. Performs audits of shortage/overage annexes to ensure all non-expendable/ expendable/durable items are on hand, on valid requisitions, or turn-in actions have been initiated. Executes supply and maintenance discipline inspections and other like evaluations of subordinate logistical operations. Performs assistance visits in the areas of supply and maintenance. Ensures regulatory compliance concerning the proper storage and security of organizational equipment. Audits personal clothing records at subordinate elements. Examines organizational clothing and individual equipment (OCIE) reports to ensure the completion of supply actions of subordinate organizations.
(2) Provides input for the development of command logistics policies. Consolidates organization level logistics feeder information for the organizational readiness report. Assists in preparing logistics plans for scheduled training. Coordinates for the receipt and issue of billeting, equipment, and supplies for training. Reviews Reports of Survey, Cash Collections, and Statements of Charges for property loss or damage. Reviews and forwards adjustment documents. Assists in monitoring high priority requisitions, reviews on-hand levels of equipment, identifies equipment excess and shortages, and reviews and coordinates transfers of equipment. Monitors the execution of lateral transfers required to support deployment operations. Assists in the coordination and assures the receipt, inventory, and issue of new equipment fielded to the command. Prepares or reviews convoy requests, movement plans, and transportation requests for movement of equipment and personnel. Reviews and forwards the Army Unit Equipment List to higher headquarters. Inputs transportation data into supporting automation systems for the purpose of developing transportation plans for deployment operations. Prepares reports, schedules repair or maintenance, and requests replacement of GSA vehicles.
(3) Performs as a technical specialist in food service administration. Reviews and forwards subsistence requests and consumption reports. Adjusts scheduled meal menus based on training requirements. Reviews annual training (AT) and inactive duty training (IDT) food service records and provides guidance to logistical and food service personnel.
(4) Prepares requests and coordinates receipt of bulk and package petroleum, oil, and lubricants (POL). Coordinates and completes turn-in actions for POL. Prepares or assists in the preparation of ammunition requests. Coordinates and assists in the receipt, issue, and turn-in of ammunition and residue. Forwards reports of ammunition usage for reconciliation. Coordinates the request, issue, and turn-in of medical supplies. May be required to receive and issue billets, equipment, and supplies for training. Individual must hold current hazardous material (HAZMAT) certification for the purpose of hazardous materials handling/reporting and environmental safety.
(5) May be required to coordinate with local officials, service organizations, etc., for a variety of purposes: armory security coordination with police, rental of the armory, recruiting activities, and organizational participation in celebrations. May coordinate the equipment requirements to support school activities such as "career days" for the purpose of informing individuals and groups of the benefits of belonging to the National Guard.

Your responsibilities as a Site Manager (Multi-Utility):

Manage the Multi-Utility (Gas/Water) teams to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of scheduled works and site supervision of operatives and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with safety.
Conduct monthly audits on operational teams to ensure high standards of work and equipment maintenance – conducting remedial action where required and closing out any corrective action in a timely manner.
They will ensure that the upcoming programme of work is adequately resourced, sites are pre-vetted, and materials are ordered and managed in line with requirements.
Check content of work instructions to ensure works are viable and ensure correct materials will be available.
Be the initial point of contact to craft teams for technical, material, and administrative matters.
Support the scheduling team by reviewing the programme in advance and providing feedback to ensure teams are deployed in the most effective way


Experience / Knowledge:

Previous experience of water/gas distribution networks.
Experienced in managing multiple projects/teams across different locations.

Your new role
Responsibilities as NEC4 Supervisor Collaborating within an integrated delivery team, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing the duties of Supervisor as outlined in the NEC4 ECC Contract. Familiarise yourself with the scheme's design and raise any constructability queries related to safety and quality.
• Reviewing Inspection and Test Plans to determine witnessing requirements. Witness on-site testing and commissioning, and maintain appropriate records of results.
• Identifying and reporting defects in accordance with the contract. Ensure that the work standards and materials supplied by the contractor meet the specified requirements.
• Inspecting and vesting materials off-site. Monitor work progress and advise the Client Project Manager of any risks or issues.
• Submitting weekly progress reports to the Client Project Manager, detailing the status of construction-related safety, quality, and completion issues.
• Maintaining detailed records of site inspections, tests, and audits.
• Attending meetings and inspections as required, both on and off-site.

As a member of the integrated delivery team, you will also:

• Ensure high standards of safety and quality control by monitoring construction works.
• Resolve technical issues on-site.
• Represent the company professionally, collaborating with the integrated delivery team to build strong working relationships.

What you'll need to succeed

• NEC4 ECC Supervisor Accreditation: Desirable.
• Education: Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or related disciplines preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience in the design and construction of highway infrastructure projects.
• Skills: Strong writing, client-facing, and communication skills.
• Diligent, proactive, and thorough approach to detail.
• Collaborative and practical problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and the Specification for Highway Works.
• Experience in performing the duties of an NEC4 Supervisor.
• Working knowledge of the NEC4 Contract.

No experience in ultrasound is necessary but healthcare experience would be beneficial. You will undertake the Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners. This includes ultrasound training over a 4-12 month period to ensure high standards of scanning are met in accordance with national standard operating procedures, an independent assessment of ultrasound technique and theoretical written units and e-learning. Following successful completion, you will work independently and make judgements according to experience and training. Access to a car, a clean driving licence and business insurance is essential as you will be required to use your own vehicle to transport the ultrasound equipment to the various venues across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and West Suffolk. You will be required to attend the office base at Cambridge University Hospitals Foundation Trust for the large part of your training period but will then be working in community clinics across the Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and West Suffolk region. Travel time is allocated to the working day and mileage expenses applicable under AfC. Hours of work will be 08.30-16.30, full-time 5 days or 30 hours across 4 days will be considered.
