This position will be a joint role with the AMU and Diabetes & Endocrinology departments.
The Diabetes and Endocrine Department provides coordination of care or direct care for patients with diabetes and endocrine conditions. It has a forward-thinking approach to service provision and works in collaboration with community teams and secondary care partners in NW London.
This joint post has been created to provide direct clinical support to the expanding endocrine service and there is opportunity to work with colleagues in developing the postholder’s speciality interest. This post consists of 10 Programmed Activities (PAs), annualized as 8 Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 2 Supporting Clinical Activities (SPA) shared 50% Diabetes and Endocrinology and 50% Acute Internal Medicine.
The successful applicant will be a committed clinician with a track record of excellent clinical service delivery, quality improvement, teaching and training. It is a requirement of the post that every doctor takes part in annual job planning and annual appraisal as part of the revalidation of cycle.
