Also responsible for their area of co-ordination in the department, together with ensuring the environment is kept clean, safe and comfortable. Core shifts are Monday-Friday 8.00-16.00 or 10.00-18.00 with some weekend working.

• To work at either Watford General Hospital or Hemel Hempstead Hospital Endoscopy Decontamination units as required.

• Co-operating with Consultants and making sure that all patients appointments have outcomes following Outpatient attendance or Notes Review clinic.
• Actively validating all patients on RTT pathway and making sure all action/orders requested by clinician are completed.
• Validating PTL list and updating I-reporter tracking comments.
• Liaising with the Gastroenterology Vetting Co-ordinator on patient vetting, making sure all patients referred by GP and other departments are triaged and followed up with an appointment/test, or communicated to the referring clinician if an appointment is not necessary.
• Helping cover in the Gastroenterology Vetting Co-ordinator’s absence – this involves compiling the next days referrals from eRS/Gastro inbox within a spreadsheet, emailing the appropriate consultant, and actioning the outcomes as required.
• Liaising with the Endoscopy team with relevant communications on patient tests and procedures.
• Cancelling clinics when assigned consultant is on leave and using the relevant process to see that displaced patients are given a new clinic appointment.
• Taking and making calls to patients on a daily basis. These can sometimes be distressing and emotional circumstances, so a sympathetic phone manner is required.
• Liaising with other members of the West Herts team, as well as colleagues from other hospitals and GP practices.
• Manage the Gastroenterology inbox as per rota, distributing emails to the relevant pathway navigators/consultant.
• Filing, photocopying, sorting post and other general office secretarial activities.
• Respond to email queries in a timely manner.
• Respond to voicemail messages in a timely manner.
• Assisting with other pathway navigators’ workload when required as part of a buddying system.

General Operative/Mailroom Administrator - Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire HP2

up to £14.15 per hour

Mailroom Administrator roles are available in Hemel Hempstead(HP2) for a global digital solutions company! The positions are available on Monday to Friday, AM or PM shifts, and the company offers free on-site parking and good public transport links. -Initially 4-6 Months Work ( Contract)

Shifts Available: Monday to Friday

AM: 6am-2pm (0600-1400)

PM: 2 pm-10 pm (1400-2200)

Pay Rate:

AM: £12.27 per hour

PM: £12.27 per hour + £15 per shift allowance (£14.15 per hour)

As Mailroom Administrator you will be working in a mailroom production environment as part of a team supporting a large, prestigious government seasonal project!! Your role will be multi-faceted and will involve any of the following tasks:

• Receiving and opening confidential documents
• Batching, registering, validating and scanning documents into the database
• Checking inbound mail for any threats
• Completing quality checks to ensure image and index quality of documents is in accordance with SLAs
• Working in the document archive library locating specific documents, scanning and ensuring filed away in correct locations

• Some previous experience working within a production, mailroom, data centre or document storage environment would be preferable
• Good data entry skills, and familiarity with using a computer keyboard

To receive and register patient attending outpatient. To perform clinical tasks appropriate to level of training and competencies e.g. Vital signs To act as a chaperone as required by Clinicians and Patients. To assist Clinicians with routine medical procedures, examinations and document clinical tasks such as chaperoning and consent. To report any concern to nurse in charge. To assist in maintaining the cleanliness and serviceability of Outpatient facilities and equipments, arrange for maintenance as and when required To ensure patients are made aware of any delays in clinics. To ensure all duties are carried out safely and to a high standard.
