Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Education Program Specialist for the Department of Astronautics, United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). Assists in promoting, coordinating, and improving education policies, programs, standards, activities, and opportunities in accordance with national policies and objectives for a formal, undergraduate educational program. Assists in academic program management, content delivery/refinement, to leverage student information systems and other platforms supporting student learning, to request/administer research grants, to work special projects, and to provide administrative support.

This is a developmental position with known promotion potential to the target position of Education Program Specialist. Incumbent will work closely with the supervisor in performing duties identified in the full performance standard core personnel document/core document. When the supervisor determines that full proficiency has been acquired, a Request for Personnel Action (RPA) will be submitted to the Civilian Personnel Office with an annotation that the incumbent is performing the full range and scope of duties and responsibilities for promotion.

Duties:

• Leads department educational resource acquisitions and maintenance processes.
• Coordinates and manages conference attendance, faculty research publication and grant proposals.
• Performs a broad range of administrative support work for the assigned educational program.
• Responsible for managing the department's social media and public affairs outreach, including developing and executing strategies to increase visibility and engagement with alumni and the public.

ECT (NQT) Graduates, a teacher with SEN experience or a mainstream teacher looking to make a change.
This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the Foxwood team. Plans are underway to invest in a multi-million pound new-build and refit of our current campus to increase our numbers from 114 to over 250 children and young people.
Foxwood Academy is a friendly 4-18 special Academy in Nottinghamshire, we were graded good by Ofsted in October 2017 and again in March 2023. We have recently merged with a very local multi academy trust and see ourselves as a truly inclusive school. As we build our new school, our neighbouring secondary school are likely to start building their new school making the overall investment in our ‘learning village’ one of the biggest educational investments in the country. As you can imagine, we are very excited.
Our students needs are varied but in general we cater for children and young people with moderate and severe learning difficulties. Many of our children and young people have a diagnosis of Autism and a proportion have additional speech and language needs. Many of our children have spent time in mainstream settings but move to Foxwood for a more specialised environment and curriculum.
Our children and young people are amazing, we consider special education to be the best kept secret in education and so we actively welcome applicants from both mainstream and special sectors. Training is available and many of our teachers and support staff come from a variety of educational backgrounds. We would be keen to appoint an additional Senco but are not specifically looking for a teacher with the Senco qualification.
Progression for students through the Academy is via different pathways to meet the diverse needs of the children. The Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) framework is used as a part of our curriculum and includes outstanding provision in preparing young people for employment and their futures. We offer accreditation to our 14-19 year old young people from Entry Level 1 up to GCSE level.

We are recruiting a 6-month fixed term contract Business Analyst to sit within the Corporate Services Directorate in the Strategy, Projects and Performance team. This role will be focused on supporting delivery of the Procurement Act projects. It will work with a wide range of stakeholders in our Procurement, Finance and Technical teams.

The Procurement Act will come into force on 24 February 2025. The Procurement Act aims to improve the way public procurement is regulated in order to be simpler, more flexible and embed increased transparency. There are three areas of focus for MTVH:

• Takes corrective actions, which may include redeploying workers between departments, recommending overtime work, and reprioritizing workload
• Works directly with the General Manager. Assists in preparing the annual budget

• Responsible for timely and accurate receipt, accountability, storage and issue of all other uniform garments and other clothing items worn by the Brigade of Midshipmen throughout year. These items must be completely processed through the cleaning system prior to storage. This poses an additional challenge for incumbent because this workload must be funneled through the plant along with all other normal daily throughput
• Assists in other functions of the NABSD Program as assigned
• Walking up and down stairs, observing, working with hands and conducting onsite inspections is required.
• The incumbent spends an equal amount of time in office setting and on the shop floor in a plant environment. In the plant environment, the temperatures and noise levels are high and vary considerably.

Starting at $25 Per Hour (NF 3)

Incumbent will be required to perform one or all of the following tasks as assigned by the Laundry Worker Supervisor.

Check-In:

• Match incoming laundry to laundry tickets, count and sort items and distribute for cleaning based on soil/garment classification.
• Assign tags to items to maintain lot integrity as items travel through the facility.
• Bag and turn in to the department supervisor all valuables recovered during check-in process.

Flatwork Processing:

• Shake out and sort clean flatwork (bed and table linens) into bins by color and type to facilitate feeding into flatwork ironer equipment.
• Work individually or in teams, depending on piece size, feed flatwork into the flatwork ironer and/or receive pressed, folded and stacked items from the cross-folder equipment.
• The Laundry Worker may be required to bundle and wrap items, then place in carts for distributing.

Dry Fold:

• Separate towels, blankets, spreads, and other rough-dried items (fully dried hand fold work) by type and fold in accordance with standard procedures. Separate nets, laundry, bags and loosely processed uniform items into lots, fold, cart-up or stack as necessary.
• Operate towel folding machine by feeding towels into folder and stacking completed towels into laundry transport carts.
• Keep all work together by lot and customer.
• Forward completed work to next appropriate work station.

Processing Department:

• Separate goods according to lot and type. Distribute to appropriate equipment for processing.
• Press or tunnel finished work as assigned, performing any or a combination of the following tasks, operate collar and cuff press, yoke press, bosom and body press, double buck shirt press, sleeve press, laundry press, or steam finishing tunnel.
• Hang up finished work, maintaining lot integrity and check appearance for obvious defects, laying such items aside for reprocessing as necessary.

Laundry Bag Assembly Work:

• In the locker area, remove laundry nets from carts by lots and match to tickets in assembly lockers.
• Place all work in locker in appropriate laundry bag, matching all items to ticket for sign off.
• Tie completed bag and place on conveyor to be staged in a cart for delivery.
• Hanger Assembly Work:
• Hang tickets on hooks by lot. Retrieve and assemble all items identified on ticket.
• When all pieces are accounted for, place in hanging bag and tie hangers together. Place on mobile racks for forgotten items, and staple laundry tags to items for identification after cleaning.

5th Wing Service Center:

• Handle cash transactions; pick up the change fund which is reconciled and dropped daily.
• Collect uniforms from customers for cleaning. Prepare tickets.
• Verify item count and type to tickets corresponding to the customer orders. Check pockets for forgotten items, and staple laundry tags to items for identification after cleaning.
• Enter ticket information on the spreadsheet for tracking and recording purposes.
• Organize clean orders on a conveyor for issue.
• Issue linen exchange items, prepackaged linens for guests and medical isolation purposes.

The Laundry Worker can be subject to continuous standing on concrete floors. Most tasks require quick hand and arm movements. Pushing or pulling of carts weighing up to 1000 pounds may be required. Incumbent may be required to lift bundles weighing up to 50 pounds on a daily bases and periodically lift bundles weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance. The laundry facility may be subject to heat, humidity, dust, lint, and noise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Professional Leadership and Development To be responsible for maintaining own competency to practice through Continuing Professional Development activities and to participate in the review and appraisal process. Be able to provide concise summary of appointments, raise any concerns to appropriate professionals, communicate treatment plan and request additional support or requirements from GP or other Healthcare Professional. Manage complex communication issues that may arise between differing health and social care professionals including de-escalation skills when working in highly antagonistic, hostile, and emotive clinical areas. Demonstrate an understanding of the need to involve patients and carers in decision making, offering them informed choices, respecting their views. Demonstrate the ability to recognise barriers to understanding that can be encountered with those without English as their first language, patients with disabilities and those with mental health difficulties such as anxiety, clinical depression or personality disorders. Seek out different styles and methods of communicating to assist longer term needs and aims. The nature of some communication can be unpredictable and can be of an urgent high priority nature: this can therefore be responsible for impacting into time allocated towards other necessary tasks. Provide and receive complex and sensitive information in relation to patient care and will have the ability to advise and support others to communicate information in an understandable, empathic, and reassuring way to adults with Mental Health and/or Learning Disabilities and/or Cognitive difficulties and their family and carers. Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience Occupational Therapy qualification HCPC registered occupational therapist. Post graduate degree or equivalent qualification or experience. Responsibilities for patient/client care Following the completion of a comprehensive core assessment, develop and provide an individualised, evidence-based programme of care based on formulation, including to those with complex needs/challenging behaviours. Manage distress and conflict in the day-to-day work with patients who, as an expression of their condition/ diagnosis, may at times be difficult to engage and/or demonstrate significant risk behaviours.
