CLC Staff Nurses typically provide care for residents with complex, mixed chronic medical and/or psychiatric conditions, residents with cognitive impairments, and residents who are terminally ill. The CLC Staff Nurse utilizes the Nursing process when assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting Nursing care provided. He/she works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team when planning and providing care to Nursing Home residents and their families. The Staff Nurse functions independently as a charge Nurse on the unit, organizing and delegating care activities to other RNs, LPNs, and NAs and providing feedback to the Nurse Manager regarding the practice of others in order to improve care.
