F5 Distributed Cloud (F5XC) is F5’s SaaS Platform for App Security, App Delivery, App Networking, App Performance and App Management services. F5XC has innovated a consistent, cloud-native environment that can be deployed across multiple public clouds and edge sites — a distributed cloud platform. Within this SaaS-based offering, F5XC integrates a broad range of services that have normally been siloed across many point products and network or cloud providers. The solution is designed to provide a single way to view security, operations, and management components.
We are looking for a Core SaaS Platform Product Manager whose responsibilities include all aspects of the Core SaaS Platform including SaaS Platform Performance, Scalability, Data Sovereignty, Reliability, Resiliency, Release Agility, and Automation.
Responsibilities:
- Define the SaaS Platform Performance requirements including defining hardware acceleration requirements.
- Define software components that need to be hardware accelerated.
- Define SaaS Platform business continuity, Disaster recovery plans.
- Define the RTO and RPO metrics for the SaaS.
- Drive Platform Resiliency initiatives to improve resiliency of the platform, measure progress against resiliency such as measurement of software bugs vs. service requests.
- Define KPIs on Platform resiliency to communicate with field and leadership.
- Define Scale forecast annually and next five years for SaaS Platform. Define leading and lagging indicators to measure utilization against scale forecast. Define requirements to meet scale targets.
- Define requirements for Data Sovereignty, Data Privacy and Data Localization for F5XC across multiple Geos North America, EMEA, APCJ.
- Measure COGS and Margin on a per customer, per request, per Mbps basis.
- Drive Reliability initiatives to improve reliability of the platform, while enhancing network architecture.
- Define SLA, Service Specific Terms , Service Credits.
- Define Release Agility, Release quality metrics, Release communication.
- Define APIs to onboard non-native developer and product teams onto F5 Distributed cloud platform.
- Define incident response plan.
- Measure Support response SLA and measure support escalation percentages across Level 0 – Level 5.

- Experience designing and using APIs for automation.
- Experience with User Experience Management in SaaS.
- Experience with Metering, Billing, and Shared Services Management for Platform

Requirements:
- Typically requires a minimum of 14 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 10 years and a Master’s degree; MBA desirable.
- At least 6 years of experience in product management for SaaS Platform management.
- Outstanding listener, great presenter, terrific interpersonal and communication skills with strong ability to influence people at all levels and in various functions.
- Strong awareness of technology trends and potential influence on F5’s business.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $210,618.00 - $315,926.00
