The Nurse Manager provides organizational performance improvement oversight to ensure positive patient outcomes, and staff and patient satisfaction. The Nurse Manager is accountable for applicable accreditation standards for the medical center. The Nurse Manager:
1. Provides leadership application of the nursing process to client care, organizational processes /systems, by improving outcomes at the program / service level.
2. Initiates interdisciplinary projects to improve organizational performance.
3. Uses professional standards of care and practice to evaluate programs and / or service activities.
4. Implements an educational plan to meet changing programs or service needs for self and others. Maintains knowledge of current techniques, trends and professional issues.
5. Coaches colleagues in team building. Makes sustained contributions to healthcare by sharing expertise internally and / or externally.
6. Provides leadership in identifying and addressing ethical issues that impact client and staff, including initiating and participating in ethics consultations.
7. Uses the group process to identify, analyze and resolve care problems.
8. Collaborates with others in research activities to improve care.
9. Manages program resources (financial, human, material or informational) to facilitate safe, effective and efficient care.
10. This position requires both clinical/ direct patient care as well as supervisory responsibilities.

• Assists the Fitness Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility; leads and or supervises the operation during second shift of program operations and in the absence of the Fitness Manager.
• Assist in the publicizing sports facilities, programs and events by drafting articles for local newspapers and as instructed by supervisor coordinates with marketing for posters, flyers and other promotional material.
• Oversees the inventory of property; fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate.
• Instructs customers and monitors proper usage of equipment, as needed.

This Transportation Security Manager position is located Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). If selected for this position, you will be responsible for mitigating threats against civil aviation and other transportation security modes. You will manage one or more programs, including, but not limited to, Checkpoints, Coordination Center, and/or Behavior Detection Officer (BDO) Screening of Passengers by Observational Techniques (SPOT) Program, as assigned by the Federal Security Director (FSD), Deputy FSD, or Assistant FSD. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring, encouraging, and continually reinforcing principles of critical thinking, specialized communication tactics, and understanding of the security threat.
• Assessing security operations and managing resources to reduce stress and encourage use of network to maximize mitigation of the threat.
• Responding to and resolving security related incidents, emergency situations, and difficult customer service issues by creating calm, establishing command presence, and using critical thinking and tactical communication.
• Creating and reinforcing a work environment that maintains open, respectful communication, values employees, and encourages the use of cooperative problem solving.
