We are looking for an authentic and driven Assistant Restaurant Manager (Full-Time) to join us at BABA Restaurant and embrace your unique, best self to provide our guests with heartfelt human connections!
Our award-winning BABA restaurant sitting proudly on the iconic George Street in Edinburgh within the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel brings flavours inspired by the Levant. The menu consists of mezze, charcoal grills and unique cocktails – made for sharing and bringing people together! Our restaurant is popular both with Edinburgh locals and those from far-and-wide visiting Edinburgh alike, we serve anywhere from 250 to 450 covers per day. Hosting an open kitchen, our customers can have an authentic experience with a personalised service.
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, we will support you to:

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, your main duties and responsibilities will be providing a personalised service to customers and playing a key role in supporting the team in the absence of our Restaurant Manager by helping them with high-level service recoveries, training them to a high standard and ensuring that our service is consistent across the board. You will be someone who has some level of management or supervisory experience, looking to take the next step in your career progression and join a fast-paced extremely popular city-centre restaurant.

- Availability to work 5 shifts per week (40 hours), shift times will vary but weekend and evening availability is essential
- Experience working within a restaurant as either a Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Manager
- Some people management skills, ideally having been involved in the training and mentoring of employees and supported in some level the recruitment of new starters
- Hunger for success in the form of a high standard service, you will pay close attention to detail and have experience dealing with service recoveries
- To be a confident leader who enjoys leading by example!
- Passion for providing luxury experiences, not shy to go above and beyond to personalise our Guests stay and provide your local wisdom to enhance their experience
- Ability to work together in the team with guests as our centre focus!
