Are you a dedicated and compassionate leader with a passion for making a difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities, complex needs, and challenging behaviours? Due to growth and development, I am seeking a experienced Registered Manager to oversee established Supported Living Services.

Location: Central office based in Cannock with services located across Stoke on Trent, Walsall, and Staffordshire.

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the supported living services. This includes ensuring the delivery of person-centred care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a dedicated team of support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee day-to-day operations of supported living services in Stoke on Trent, Walsall, and Staffordshire.

- Ensure high standards of care and support are consistently delivered.

- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of support staff.

- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.

- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and other relevant standards.

- Build and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and external agencies.

- Monitor and manage budgets effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Proven experience in a similar role within the care sector.

- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards.

- NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

- A commitment to person-centred care and support.

- Full UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle

The Role

Bolton Council is transforming its estate to meet the needs of our workforce and communities. Working within Corporate Property Services, you will be part of the Capital Projects Team creating, maintaining and improving properties by delivering projects to a high standard with the relevant approvals and documentation in place. You will manage project risks and opportunities, minimise costs and disruption, ensuring that the Council is compliant at all times.

You will be responsible for leading and managing the design and delivery of multi-disciplinary property / construction projects across the Council’s assets, by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You will develop and maintain relationships with all external bodies including developers, service providers, government agencies and collaborate with partners and consultants to deliver accurate site plans, designs and costs, ensuring appropriate governance. You will lead the health and safety culture on allocated projects by effectively communicating, managing and mitigating project risks and maximising opportunities. You will also carry out ‘value for money’ exercises and technical appraisals on projects and proposals from third parties.

About You

Alongside a project management qualification or equivalent experience, you’ll need to be able to clearly scope and plan projects and ensure projects are supported by the right governance. You need to be able to understand what makes a project worth doing and lead the project team around this shared vision. You’ll be able to manage the risks and issues affecting the project, as well as monitor the project finances and resources. You’ll need to have good interpersonal skills to engage with the relevant stakeholders involved in the project. Having experience of working on local government / public sector property projects is a benefit but not essential.

At Footsteps Cannock Nursery & Preschool we have a passionate team, who aim to create something special and different, ensuring every child's individual needs are met. We love the great outdoors and the nursery features open spaces for the children to enjoy and experience outdoor learning. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to join the team working 40 hours per week.

As Nursery Manager, you will:

• Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
• Ensure that company policies and procedures are embedded, applied and adhered to by all.
• Facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement any recommendations.
• Embed effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.
• Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources which are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
• Promote a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice throughout the nursery.
• Manage any complaints or concerns raised in a thorough and timely manner and inform senior management.
• Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
• Participate in all activities related to nursery publications, advertising, public relations, the web site, and other marketing activities designed to promote the nursery.
• Promote positive relations with an approachable manner and time to listen to your team.

As Nursery Manager, you will need:

• Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
• Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - Essential

• Over 1 year’s experience of working in a management position - Desirable
• Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
• Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable

Footsteps Nursery Cannock are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic nursery practitioner. The nursery is located in Orbital Plaza on Bridge Street in Cannock, the same plaza where the iconic Holiday Inn Tower can be seen, south of Cannock Town Centre.
