Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: Experience in quantity surveying, ideally with a residential developer or within the housebuilding sector.
• Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field; RICS or CIOB membership preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of cost planning, budget management, and construction contracts, with experience using cost management software (e.g., COINS, CostX).
• Analytical and Communication Skills: High attention to detail with excellent analytical abilities, along with strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop junior team members and foster a collaborative work environment.

Provide a high quality social work service to children, their families and carers by using relationship based practice, following service practice standards and statutory guidance. Work in partnership with children, their families, carers and professionals to identify the right services for children who need help and protection or who need support to progress whilst in care or leaving care. Maintain accurate case notes within statutory timescales, prepare plans, reviews and reports and engage in statutory supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Under supervision, work independently to hold and effectively manage a caseload of complex cases. Respond to complex referrals, provide casework advice, support, and guidance to other team members. Use the signs of safety framework for all social work practice. Carry out investigations, assessment, and management of risk, write reports, give evidence in court, and provide professional opinion and work with children and young people in care, at all times following statutory and service standards and guidance.

Take into account individual child and family history and how this might affect the ability of adults and children to engage with services.
Understand and analyse the seriousness that different risks present, and any harm already suffered by a child, balanced with family strengths and potential solutions. Determine whether there is sufficient safety of a child to remain with the family and the support needed for that to happen. If the child is looked after, whether there is enough safety for the child to return home.
Make realistic, evidence-based, child centred plans within a review timeline, which will manage and reduce identified risks and meet the needs of the child. Chair multi-disciplinary meetings to involve relevant professionals and minimise chances of drift or delay. Ensure actions on the plan are progressed within statutory timescales.

Qualifications:

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals within a healthcare setting. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient well-being, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Key Responsibilities:

Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.

Observe and report any changes in patients' physical or emotional conditions to the nursing staff.

Working hours for the role are: 5 out of 7 days a week this will include one weekend on one weekend off.

The role will be working days and 12 hour shifts each day.

The postholder will work across the following 3 areas as outlined in the work schedule below: the Acute Assessment Unit (AAU), Mary Seacole North and South wards the Acute Medical Take the Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit (AEC) to facilitate same day emergency care (SDEC) Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) This is a 34-bed unit based across two adjacent wards (Mary Seacole North and Mary Seacole South). This is staffed on a daily basis by 2 Consultants, a registrar, 2-4 SHOs and 2-3 FY1s with daily Consultant led ward rounds. Wider AMU staffing includes a dedicated and highly trained nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and MDT team, a frailty team, pharmacy and a full complement of support staff. There are full cardiac monitoring facilities and isolation facilities, and patients may receive non-invasive ventilatory support on the AAU as well as chest drains, management of level 0 and level 1 patients and a close working relationship with the intensive care, cardiology, respiratory and gastroenterology teams who all in reach to AAU regularly. Ambulatory Emergency Care (AEC) The award-winning Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit is staffed by a dedicated team of senior and junior doctors and Advanced Clinical Practitioners who see acutely unwell patients, in an outpatient same day emergency care (SDEC) setting, providing an alternative to admission for many patients. The ambulatory care unit has a dedicated Consultant and Senior Nurse who supervise the diagnosis, management and treatment of patients on the unit and provide teaching and support for the many procedures (chest drains, ascitic drains, lumbar punctures, infusions and diagnostic imaging) which take place there. Acute Medical Take This is staffed by 1 SpR, 2 SHOs and 1 FY1. There is an average intake of 30 patients over 24 hours. During the day, there is a continuous consultant post take ward round providing the opportunity for immediate feedback and learning. Overnight, Consultant advice is available by telephone, and patients are reviewed on the morning post take ward round.

Lead shifts at registrar level in PED, contributing to providing 12 hour / day middle grade cover. There will be no night shift commitment in this post. Assess and manage your own patients. Assist and supervise the junior doctors. Help manage patient flow, with particular focus on achieving the 4-hour target. Gain excellent experience in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, and in education, management, and quality improvement. There is shop-floor consultant cover seven days a week from 0800-2230. There is a consultant dedicated to supervising the PED during weekdays until 1400-2100. The ED Consultants are committed to the supervision and development of these posts. You will be allocated a PEM consultant as your Educational Supervisor, helping you gain the development and competencies you seek and to support you with PEM or GRID subspeciality applications if required.

To work as Neonatal Clinical Governance and Risk Nurse (0.6 WTE) in collaboration with the neonatal consultants to ensure the effective delivery of safety, quality improvement and clinical governance activities in neonatal services. To participate in all ward Clinical activities as an effective team member (0.4 WTE) supporting the Lead Nurse for Neonatal Unit, taking responsibilities for coordinating, managing and supporting a team of staff within a shift. To lead on risk management and incident investigations within the neonatal unit and liaise with the units multi-disciplinary team in implementing and supporting learning from incidents. To develop and maintain best practice, following ICO, CYP and local policies. To develop and update neonatal guidelines to maintain best practices. To implement clinical quality and safety strategies To lead on responding to complaints and disseminate actions and lessons learnt. To facilitate neonatal audit activities liaising with the medical and nursing teams, Lead Nurse for Neonatal Unit, aDoN for CYP, Maternity Clinical Governance team to ensure risk management projects are prioritised and undertaken in a timely manner.
