We currently have an exciting vacancy for an experienced Engineering Property Surveyor to join our busy and friendly team here at Entrust. As the Senior Engineering Property Surveyor, you will be responsible for working with our clients in the education and public sector to implement and manage planned repairs, breakdown repairs and improvement/renewal schemes.
This is an exceptionally varied role covering a broad spectrum of public sector properties including primary schools, high schools, academies, corporate public sector and some swimming pools. This role offers great scope for career progression and exposure to high profile clients.
This role is based in Stafford and covers properties across the area. The role offers hybrid working option.
Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 (Dependent on experience) with 10 % car allowance.

What you'll be doing:
• Ensuring an effective liaison with Head Teachers and property Site Managers to provide a comprehensive building maintenance service thus retaining the consultancy's customer base.
• Providing routine advice and support to schools and other properties on day to day and planned maintenance repairs.
• Undertaking planned maintenance programmes including the design and specification of projects using standard documents where applicable, the raising and issuing of orders, the supervision of work on site and the verification of invoices for payment.
• Implementing, diagnosing and managing works for the repair and maintenance within various buildings that are assigned to the successful candidate.
• Undertaking project management/supervising officer duties while liaising with the establishment representative which involves the initiation and completion of maintenance and minor improvement works.
• Ensuring the enforcement of appropriate health and safety risk assessments and precautions commensurate with the complexity of the project, with particular reference to the CDM 2015 regulations.
What we're looking for:
• Minimum of an HNC / HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. Relevant Degree is desirable.
• Qualified trades people within an appropriate trade with suitable supervisory experience will be considered.
• Experience in the management and organisation of engineering maintenance works.
• In depth experience in the provision of building specifications/drawings (AutoCad Lt is essential) for maintenance and minor improvement works.
• A thorough knowledge and understanding of engineering services (mechanical and electrical) in relation to the overall maintenance of buildings. Including heating, lighting gas, fire and intruder alarms and domestic water services
• Must be able to diagnose mechanical and electrical defects, identify solutions and communicate these effectively to the relevant parties.
