The successful finance applicant will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager in a varied position taking ownership of all purchase ledger processes for the company while also supporting in month-end processes, year-end, sales ledger and more. Your new role

Your key duties will involve managing all purchase ledger processes for the company, including processing foreign currency invoices, payments and deposits, setting up new supplier accounts, entering approved invoices, processing weekly/monthly supplier payment runs across various entities, along with ensuring HMRC compliance for VAT purchases. You will manage a busy purchase ledger inbox resolving any queries, costing invoices to the correct cost centre, processing multi-currency payments and supplier statements reconciliations. You will analyse/code credit cards monthly, reconcile credit card statements, bank reconciliations and support the sales ledger team when required with sales invoicing and credit control. You will be involved in month-end processes across entities within the group, including calculating prepayments, accruals and updating foreign deposits, analysing data, journal processes, supporting year-end bank financial audits, and assisting others within the team with monthly accounts preparation. You will support the finance team and wider business with ad-hoc projects and additional tasks to support business growth.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this varied & hands-on Assistant Accountant/Senior Accounts Assistant role, you will need experience in similar positions, a team player who is willing to learn and adapt to business needs. You will be eager to take on more responsibility as you grow with the business and have strong communication skills to build both internal and external relationships at all levels. You will have key attention to detail/accuracy, be able to manage your own workloads to meet deadlines, problem-solving skills, and have good experience in financial systems, along with MS excel skills. Experience using Sage 200 would be advantageous but not essential.

Job DescriptionThe Site Assistant role is an exciting addition to the Gloucester Academy Team. You will be required to support Greenshaw Learning Trust school sites and associated site staff in a range of duties to ensure the smooth operation of the schools. This role is based primarily at Gloucester Academy, with support to other nearby schools, e.g. Moat Primary. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and reliable individual to join us and support its Facilities Team to ensure that the school site, including the premises, furniture, fittings and grounds, are maintained to a high standard. The successful candidate will have previous experience or knowledge of basic building repair and maintenance, combined with a flexible approach, excellent personal and management skills, and very strong team working skills. Main purpose of the roleThe Site Assistant will support the school’s Site Manager and the Site Team with the security and day-to-day maintenance of the school site, ensuring that the environment is clean and safe for the students, staff and visitors to the school. This role is based at Gloucester Academy but may also be required to support at the other schools in the Gloucester region that come into the service hub. The operation of premises programmed systems, ensuring that all plant and equipment operates at maximum efficiency and economy, with special regard to energy conservation and to regularly inspect equipment to ensure that it is clean and in a safe working order, reporting any deficiencies as appropriate and if required contact a competent contractor to repair. Supervise and contact contractors when necessary. To assist with the monitoring of cleaners.To undertake general portage duties to include the setting out and putting away furniture as necessary, including possible room changes.
