Salary: Grade 3 SCP 3-6 (£22,737 - £23,893) Pro Rata
Hours: 32.5hrs per week, 39 weeks per year (Term time only)
Starting Date – As soon as possible until Easter 2025.
Possible extension until end of July 2025
The Head teacher and Governing Body of Glyncoed Primary School wish to appoint an outstanding and committed Level 1 teaching assistant, with excellent Literacy and Numeracy skills, to support teaching and learning in Foundation Phase.
Duties will include:
• working under the direction of teachers to support access to learning for pupils
• establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
• assisting the pupils in developing a Growth Mindset;
• encouraging pupils to act independently
• supervising and supporting pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning;
• encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
• assisting with the preparation of teaching materials and resources

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
