We’re actively seeking a talented Internal Audit Coordinator II to join the Internal Audit Department in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be hybrid, or 100% remote.
As an Internal Audit Coordinator II, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by providing insight regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management, control and governance processes. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 5 people within broader Internal Audit Department of 22.
How you will make an impact:
- Provides independent, risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management, control and governance processes to enhance and protect organizational value for PL enterprise wide.
- Conducts independent assessments of risk management, control, or governance processes, including testing the design and operating effectiveness of controls within the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) program aligned to the COSO framework.
- Evaluates the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls in conducting its activities and applies knowledge of PL’s procedures, processes and/or systems to identify risks and internal control gaps and issues. Understands and applies control framework assessment tools and techniques.
- Applies professional judgment in drawing conclusions on the design and operational effectiveness of controls across business areas
- Works closely with the risk management and compliance functions and may coordinate with external auditors to prepare the attestation of management assessment on internal controls.
The experience you will bring:
- Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
- 2+ years of experience
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience
- Requires knowledge and experience ; including fundamental theories, principles and concepts
- Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers.
- Requires expanded conceptual knowledge and broadens capabilities.
- Solves a range of straightforward problems.
- Analyzes possible solutions using existing methods.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$38.82 - $47.44
