About the Role SSE has one of the largest fleets in the UK operates extensively across the length and breadth of the country, including the remote Islands of Scotland and overseas, in the course of delivering support to the nation's critical national energy infrastructure. As a member of this essential team, who manage assets including Cars, Vans, HGV and Plant equipment, you would be pivotal in delivering a safe and legally compliant fleet service to our internal customers.
The main objective of the role is to deliver administration tasks associated with operating a large vehicle fleet in support of the through life management of all vehicles, specifically focussing on Vans and HGVS. These tasks will include working with our internal customers in responding to their requirements and the Groups contracted suppliers, including leasing companies, fuel card and daily hire providers.
Base Location: Cardiff - Ty Calon
Salary: £26,609 - £30,472 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The main objective of the role is to deliver administration tasks associated with operating a large vehicle fleet in support of the through life management of all vehicles, specifically focussing on Vans and HGVS. These tasks will include working with our internal customers in responding to their requirements and the Groups contracted suppliers, including leasing companies, fuel card and daily hire providers.
Accurate input and management of fleet operating systems, email inboxes and telephony enquiries with regard to the fleet ensuring the financial, safety and legality of the fleet whilst ensuring that internal customer requirements are achieved.
Maintaining a good working relationship between fleet services and end users/managers, offering exceptional customer service.
The ability to understand the data gathered and how day to day interactions can for see trends, passing this information to the Fleet Manager to enable changes to be made to improve the fleet.
Working with the rest of the fleet team to ensure the upkeep of documents to communicate current policies and procedures.
Day to day monitoring of fleet hire, telemetry, maintenance and orders to ensure records are maintained, vehicles are safe and business expectations are met.
What do I need? To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Experience or willingness to learn.
- Computer literacy and experience in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and interpret data for accurate reporting, including detailed explanations of reports. Continual auditing and sense-checking capabilities.
- Experience of managing multiple tasks simultaneously with the ability to adapt to ongoing changes in business plans and goals.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to schedule and coordinate meetings, activities and tasks internally and externally.
