Purpose

• Drive execution of the global treasury strategy within own area of responsibility.
• Co-ordinate and manage the delivery of Treasury services, reporting and advice in areas such as external financing, credit facilities, banking relationships, funding, capital structures, interest rate, Foreign Exchange (FX) liquidity management, treasury compliance and cash & banking solutions.
• Work with a team of specialists to implement Treasury strategy and Treasury and cash management activities in the end markets

Principal Accountabilities

Act as a proactive business partner to identify opportunities for enhancing treasury effectiveness and commercial results

Executing global Treasury strategy, such as:

• Lead the execution of treasury related projects, including Centre and above-market initiatives.
• Advising on all aspects of treasury management.
• Optimise cash repatriation from End-markets to the centre.
• Solving problems of FX deficits and trapped cash within the DRBU, including the navigation of economic crisis situations
• Drive working capital initiatives.
• Enhance visibility and support the improvement of working capital management
• Ensure the central forecast cashflow reporting is delivered to the required quality
• Support the structuring and execution of market exits / simplifications.
• Support the on-going review concerning the capital structure and funding of legal entities, recommending and managing changes as appropriate, and including obtaining the relevant delegated authorities.
• Support the funding renewal process for End-markets.
• Support the digital treasury & banking agenda.
• Manage FX exposures across the Region and advise on appropriate actions.
• Consistent with the Treasury Strategy, drive the centralisation of treasury transactions
• Promote and lead a philosophy of continuous improvement with regard to treasury management best practice.
• Coordinate compliance to global Treasury policies and standards.
• Co-ordinate delivery of Treasury related reporting and ensure it is delivered to the required quality.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Financial, Mathematical or Science-based degree with related professional qualification (i.e. ACA/ACCA/CIMA/ACT). AMCT qualified or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 4-8 years’ experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment and a good understanding of the tobacco business
• Understanding and knowledge of relevant finance/Treasury tools and systems (SAP Treasury)
• Strong analytical skills, rational decision making / problem solving
• Continuous improvement and able to challenge the status quo.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and keep to tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills to build an effective network with the teams across APMEA and the ability to influence
• Tenacity to deliver tangible results

Working relationship

Internal

• Finance Business partners & specialist finance teams such as tax and accounting – collaborate to provide end to end finance delivery for region / areas / end markets

• Global Business Solutions – Establish & monitor effective operating procedures to deliver end to end treasury services

• Internal Auditors – to respond to queries and requests for information.

• Investor Relations / Legal – collaboration and keeping up to date with business developments

External

• External parties such as bank relationship managers and dealers – effective, professional working relationships

• External Auditors – to respond to queries and requests for information

Principal Accountabilities

· Support the Area deployment of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives Global Talent initiatives and cycle plan activities through application of standard processes/ tools / data / insights ensuring regional and BU alignment of priorities.

· Aims to ensure a seamless and integrated delivery of Area-wide development solutions across the APMEA – North Area which have approximately 1500+ employees across more than 50 different markets (incl. Global Travel Retails).

· Provide active support for Regional HR related operations & initiatives execution in line with global governance framework.

· Contribute to drive the H-ESG agenda for APMEA Area as Social pillar lead by developing & deploying area Health & wellbeing initiatives through providing thought leadership, analytical insights on business challenges and identifying solutions

· Act as a key member of the APMEA North HR team, to provide support to the Area Talent strategy/ agenda and implement initiatives across the Businesses/ Functions/ Markets by working closely with Head of HRs in respective markets & Area Head of Talent, OE & Inclusion – North.

· Conduct ongoing research in external HR trend, best practice to support designing and implementing fit-for-purpose talent agenda, learning along with deployment of solutions and tools, in line with global framework and governance.

Business

· Support delivery of DE&I agenda in the Area to ensure the approach and execution is in line with group strategy to support new area integration.

· Understand each markets’ people-related challenges from the angles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and culture aspects in the Area and support the ideation of strategy and solutions in addressing the challenges.

· Ensure all deployments (i.e. DE&I initiatives & Health & wellbeing projects) are in adherence to relevant global policies, procedures, standards and execution requirements.

· As a key member of APMEA North HR team, orchestrate with various stakeholders to provide support via different channels – (i) Communicate and cascade key information on DE&I agendas (ii) Engage and collaborate with Area Talent managers to deploy necessary initiatives/projects

· Support delivery of the regional learning curriculum and talent interventions

Leadership

· Contribute to articulate Area’s desired outcome and provide clear directions to the team to drive success for the North Area

· Foster healthy relationships with senior leaders/ stakeholders to drive and support multiple DE&I and Health & Wellbeing agenda

Reporting to the Director of Public Health and Wellbeing, the team helps people to stay healthy and protect them from threats to their health.

• Alcohol and drugs misuse strategy, treatment and recovery services
• Sexual health services including sexually transmitted infections and contraception
• Healthy lifestyles support with losing weight, getting more active, giving up smoking, cutting down on alcohol and improving your well being
• Physical activity strategy and projects including school based exercise, parks and cycling
• Family health including health visiting, infant feeding, school nurses, teenage pregnancy support, family weight management and services supporting BME families
• Health protection strategy and services including air quality, blood borne virus testing, screening & immunisations, infection control, emergency planning and outbreak management
• The Marmot City strategy, reducing health inequalities across the city
• Domestic abuse and sexual abuse strategies and support services
• Youth violence reduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Public Health team, leading on the Public Health Tobacco Control portfolio.

The post will:

• Oversee the development, delivery and programme management of multiple public health programmes and projects
• Identification and analysis of health needs in key population groups and health outcomes
• Development of evidence-based strategies to reduce smoking prevalence
• Lead on & oversee the implementation of these strategies
• Evaluate the impact of programmes, projects & service redesign
• Provide advice and guidance to support the commissioning of services that lead to the delivery of improvement in health outcomes
• To work within the City Council's commissioning and procurement processes
• Lead on the development of sub-regional working for relevant programme areas

Job Description:
• Develop and implement regional sales plans to achieve market share and sales targets in the region
