North Lanarkshire Council
£115,958 - £120,407
(35 Hours per week)
We are achieving great things that will improve the lives of everyone who live, work in or visit North Lanarkshire. These vital improvements are all part of a programme of major economic regeneration and growth that is already changing the landscape of North Lanarkshire.
As we deliver the Plan for North Lanarkshire and drive transformational change, we recognise that children and young people are critical to the future growth of the region and it’s vital they are given the best chance and opportunities to fulfil their potential.
The Chief Officer (Education) plays a critical role, directly supporting the strategic aim, by leading a broad holistic care service that is directly linked to education, and is focused on supporting children and young people in the context of the wider family and social community support systems that are an essential requirement in their long term growth and progression.
This role is wide-ranging and includes strategic lead responsibility for a number of areas across the spectrum of educational functions with an emphasis on attainment, performance and the wider achievement agenda, which are detailed within the recruitment pack available.
We have bright and determined people working here, that believe and are engaged in what we do.
If you’re motivated, ambitious and driven by achievement, then come and join us.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
If you would like to discuss this role further, please contact Andrew McPherson, Depute Chief Executive via Adrienne Henry on henryad@northlan.gov.uk Mobile 07939 284602
