Salary: Grade 3 SCP 3-6 (£22,737 - £23,893) Pro Rata
Hours: 20hrs hrs per week (5 days per week am only), 39 week weeks per year (term time only)
Start: December 2024

The Governing Body wish to appoint a pro-active, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, with a commitment to inclusive learning. An ability to contribute to the warm, caring, inclusive ethos of the school is essential.
The successful candidate should be suitably qualified with NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants, CACHE Certificate in Childcare and Education (Level 2),NVQ Level 2 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent qualifications.
They should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, good interpersonal skills, show initiative, share in the planning and evaluation of activities and work well as part of a dedicated team.
The successful applicant will provide support across the curriculum. The ability to develop the emotional health and wellbeing of pupils in a nurturing environment and experience of delivering literacy and numeracy catch up programmes in is essential in this post.

This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £12 per hour (scp 2 - 4). This supplement will be reviewed in January 2024 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
